The calibre took 5 years of R&D and 55 expert craftsmen to develop. The collection takes the name after his book Les Matinaux (or The Dawn Breakers). A clear testament to the maison’s vision and achievement is that their very first watch was preselected for the 2019 GPHG Awards under the ‘Petite Aiguille’ category. The collection was originally introduced with an ETA movement in 2018, which was later updated to the maison’s exclusive X-Centric calibre in 2020. Released in March 2022, it is loosely based on the eccentric circular design of Les Matinaux. With the floating & rotating rings, this collection takes skeletonisation to new heights. Placed under the massive, domed crystal, all three rings are placed at different heights, which adds a stunning dimension to the watch face and gives it a distinctive character.
