The Manero Flyback Anniversary edition is a beautifully-depicted ode to India featuring rose gold and silver highlights against a rich, timeless blue dial, and an extraordinary flyback function on the chronograph—a feat that only a few great watchmakers can claim to have accomplished. True Blue Indian: Manero Flyback Anniversary Edition In a traditional 43mm stainless steel case with a height of 14.45mm, the Manero Flyback Anniversary Edition features short curved lugs that ensure the watch fits comfortably around the wrist. With brushed and polished finishes, a fluted and signed crown, and retro-style pushers, the case of the timepiece exudes elegance. A double-domed sapphire crystal glass covers the dial, its curved circumference highlighting the tachymeter scale around the periphery of the watch face in small yet legible white numerals. The minute track sits just inside this scale, also in white, punctuated by wedge-shaped indexes in 18-karat rose gold, with a double marker at 12 o’clock. The dial itself is a rich, cool, soothing blue with sunray-brushed and matt finishes. Blue was chosen to reflect the shade of the Ashoka Chakra in India’s national flag—a symbol of motion and life in movement. The rose gold of the hour markers adds warmth to the cool blue base. With skeletonised dauphine hands in rose gold, and matching gilt on the hands for the two sub-dials, there’s enough gold to make the watch shine, but not enough to make it look gaudy. The running seconds is at nine while the 30-minute chronograph recorder is at three o'clock. These two counters add a certain symmetrical balance to the dial.
