In-house movement, single-crown functionality. The world on your wrist: Frederique Constant’s Classics Worldtimer Manufacture Simple, elegant and easy to operate, this world-timer is Frederique Constant’s flagship complication—entirely adjustable only by the crown Based in Plan-les-Ouates, in the region around Geneva, Switzerland, Frederique Constant are involved in all stages of watch production—from initial design, to final assembly and quality control. Frederique Constant watches are defined by their high quality and differentiation and precision in design and manufacturing. Their perceived value, through quality of design, materials, and movements, is a key component of their success. Frederique Constant are well known as the solid Swiss watchmakers that offer quite a few complications that are more accessible than several other brand counterparts. One of said complications is their Worldtimer. When Frederique Constant released the first world-timer in 2012, it was a sign of the brand’s long-term commitment to not only watchmaking and accessible luxury but the brand’s commitment to an overall ease of use. While the complication has been seen in more than one collection of theirs, the Classics Worldtimer remains a bestseller, and a key success story for the brand. Encapsulating the entire world within the dial Nowadays, time could be considered just as precious as gold. For the busy businessperson travelling around the world, keeping track of time locally and at home is of the essence. The Frederique Constant Classics Worldtimer Manufacture is one such watch that’ll subtly sit on your wrist yet encapsulate the entire world within its dial. Elegant and easy to operate, the Worldtimer is one of Frederique Constant’s ‘trophy’ series, being an achievement in complication development. With the new Classics Worldtimer Manufacture, you will be able to track time across the world’s 24 main time zones, all at once. Frederique Constant have manufactured the Worldtimer in interesting configurations. Among the most popular variants are the revamped steel, gold-plated and rose gold cases. The elegant new Worldtimer has the world map embossed in its 42mm case. The brand offers a royal vibe to adorn your wrist with, by coordinating the stainless steel case with a green dial and a rose gold case with a dial in a combination of blue and grey. What makes the watch aesthetically so captivating is the raised world map etched in the centre of the dial, reinforcing its image as a globetrotter. The dial also features applied, white, luminous indexes in all the models, which glow in the dark. The collection is tailor-made for the quintessential business traveller or anyone who corresponds with people in different time zones. Main timekeeping that remains in the centre, without the interference of the complication The iterations of Frederique Constant’s Classics Worldtimer Manufacture watches have the world map depicted on the dial. Just surrounding this map, you see applied hour markers that are designed to complement the pencil-shaped hour and minute hands at the centre. If you’re only interested in the time where you are, you need not look beyond this central portion of the display. On its edge though, is the sub-dial for the analogue date, towards six o’clock, protruding out of this portion and partially covering the world-time elements around it—the 24-hour ring and the time zone disc punctuated with 24 representative cities. MRP: ₹14,44,600 For more information, please call our Luxury Watch Helpline on [+91 8725028899](tel:08725028899), [+91 8725028881](tel:08725028881) [Click here to connect with us on WhatsApp]( How to use the Worldtimer Manufacture Using the Worldtimer is practically child’s play. It’s that easy. Once your local time at the centre is correct, you simply need to use the crown to move the time zone disc in order to bring the city of the local zone to the 12 o’clock position on the dial. You’ll find that the time of the central hands will also be aligned with the 12 o’clock position on the 24-hour ring, and will hence, correspond to your time zone city. You might need to adjust the local time by 12 hours on the 24-hour ring, in case the time at the 12 o’clock position on the ring is not right by the 24-hour format. Once this is set, you have all 24 main time zones aligned with their correct time on the 24-hour ring. And that’s all there is to it. An additional guide are the ‘GMT’, ‘+1’, ‘-1’ markings, in case you need help when changing your own zone, should you need to, when you travel. Focusing on the crown—the only thing you need in order to adjust and set all functions One can bank on Frederique Constant to push the boundaries on the technical front, as they deliver without disappointing. But what’s really praise-worthy about the new Worldtimer is that the time-setting crown is mighty powerful in this watch, as all the functions are controlled by this one key—the time zone cities, the time, and even the date at six. It has also negated the need for any additional pushers, which makes the watch clean and clutter-free. This is not something you find on all mechanical world-timers out there. And that was Frederique Constant’s biggest achievement with this movement that they first developed, in-house, all the way back in 2012. The in-house automatic movement and user-friendly complication The brand have not been a stranger to in-house-developed calibres. This world-timer calibre, the FC-718, continues to be one of their most successful. It was launched with the Classics Worldtimer Manufacture. It has proven to be a very successful line, owing to this movement. With a power reserve of 38 hours, the FC-718 automatic movement runs on a 4Hz frequency, and it is visible through the transparent caseback, which is always a joy in mechanical watches. Variations in the straps—complementing the dial iterations The Worldtimer is a winning package for a timepiece that offers so much utility, and is also dressy enough for most occasions. They are elegantly worn on alligator leather straps available in hues of navy blue or green, complementing the dials in each version. All straps feature off-white stitching enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the timepiece.
