Entirely developed in-house, the mechanical part of the FC-750 calibre is dedicated to hours, minutes, central seconds and a date function. The electronic part of the calibre FC-750, powered by a rechargeable battery, offers the wearer activity tracking, sleep tracking, fitness coaching, a world timer and more – plus some watch-specific features like analytics for the mechanical movement (including rate, amplitude, beat error). The dial – A traditional face It would be hard to imagine a watch design more steeped in tradition than the Hybrid Manufacture. Available in silver and navy/silver dial options, it has a chapter ring with Roman numerals as hour indexes. The outer portion of the dial is a combination of guilloché patterns with a black printed chapter ring for minutes. The hour and minute lacquered hands are Breguet shaped, as often met on other Frederique Constant classic watches. Excellent legibility is assured by the logical and intuitive separation of the dial’s functions. Case and case back – A futuristic yet classical presentation The Hybrid is most definitely classic, housed in a 42mm stainless steel case with one variation that is rose gold plated. The round polished case features a knurled crown – reminiscent of a vintage-style onion crown. The pusher on the top left side is responsible for the activation of the bluetooth and other smart functions. The watch is protected by a convex sapphire crystal and the case has a water resistance of 50m. The classic design runs beyond the surface: turn the Hybrid over and the sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement on display, a mechanical one with its open-worked, gold-coloured rotor. The battery supervising the smart functions in the FC-750 movement has a life of approximately seven days and is recharged via the crown. The watch comes with a dedicated – and extremely large rotator charger box that includes a removable charger for electronic functionality and a rotating box to charge the mainspring in the mechanical calibre.
