I’d been a week on campus and we go off to the Woody Hayes complex. You basically made your way—they had stations—to where Doc Strauss was, a room about half this size. He’s sitting at a desk on a rolling little seat. He’s got his back to you and he reads your chart and he’s ready to go—he rolls himself over and checks your ears, the tongue depressor, that whole thing. I’m scared as hell—he turns the light out and he’s got a light pen and he starts rolling my way. I can see him coming with the light pen over to where I’m at, and then he does the same thing on me again with the light pen and it gives him the liberty to go even deeper into what he’s doing.
