Erin Hanson: The PETITE Show Welcome to Erin's 6th Annual Petite Show! I'm sure you've heard of Erin's petites (affectionately called "bebe paintings" around the gallery); every year Erin puts on a special exhibition of only petite paintings. Did you know that small works have been coveted for thousands of years and have a remarkably rich history? A history ranging from gracing the tombs of ancient Egyptians to being at the height of fashion during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I in England. It is no wonder small works have maintained their appeal throughout the ages since these little gems are easily placed (think hallways, kitchens, and alcoves), easier on the bank account, AND can function perfectly as a remarkably thoughtful holiday gift.
