I have been inspired this winter in Oregon (with my first real white Christmas!) As you can see in my paintings, the chill weather also has me dreaming of sunny skies. I hope you enjoy the pieces. What sort of art moves you? Happy January, Erin Hanson [Testimonials]( [Available Paintings]( F r e s h W o r k s Palm Fronds, 38 x 56 in Looking up into a grove of palm trees captures all the feeling of being out in Palm Springs, surrounded by the warm California desert. This painting is alive with impasto texture, and the brush strokes come together to form a mosaic of light and color, like stained glass. [View: Palm Fronds]( Winter Light, 24 x 36 in Christmas was white this year in Oregon, the rolling hills and oak trees of the Willamette Valley covered in dramatic white snow. This painting captures the sun shining through a grove of trees along a little pathway, in the woods on my estate. [View: Winter Light]( Lone Cypress Dawn, 24 x 30 in Waking up before dawn, I went exploring along 17 Mile Drive. I watched the sun rise behind Lone Cypress, sitting all alone in the silent morning. This painting captures all the peace and beauty of that quiet moment. [View: Cypress Dawn]( Mendocino Redwoods, 24 x 36 in Coastal redwoods grow along Northern California's rocky coastline. This painting captures a grove of redwoods in Mendocino. The ancient, stately trees create their own atmosphere of quiet contemplation and feeling of peaceful beauty. [View: Mendocino Redwoods]( Florida Palms, 40 x 50 inches A monsoon sky in Clearwater, Florida, is captured in thick, impressionistic brush strokes and lively hues of orange, pink, and blue. This painting recreates the feeling of actually standing by the bay and seeing the sunset in person, in all its wide expanse of beauty.
