No images? [Click here]( FRESH FROM THE EASEL River of Light, 20 x 24 in "If You Truly Love Nature, You Will Find Beauty Everywhere" - Laura Ingalls Wilder I am happy to share a few of my newest paintings, fresh from the easel. There is nothing quite like getting outdoors for a cool, fresh evening walk or an inspiring morning stroll. The painting above was inpsired by a small stream near my house, nestled between cultivated acres, with coastal mountains blue and purple in the distance. What's your favorite time of the day to explore the oudoors? Enjoy, Erin Hanson P.S.: We are offering free domestic shipping on all fine art prints for a limited time only! NATURE g o n e W I L D Smith Rock II, oil on canvas, 32 x 26 in Smith Rock, Oregon, is captured in an impressionistic painting filled with light and color. The textured brush strokes are thickly applied, adding a sense of movement to the piece. Carmel Ice Plants, oil on canvas, 36 x 46 in The banks of the Monterey Peninsula, near Carmel, California, are covered in bright pink ice plants in the spring. This oil painting captures the beautiful, contrasting colors of spring in Carmel, with thick, impressionistic brush strokes. Northern Coast, oil on linen, 12 x 16 in Delicate branches of coastal pine trees form abstract patterns along the sandy cliffs of this northwestern coast. The early morning light peeks between the branches and glitters down on the ocean below. Crimson Clover, oil on canvas, 32 x 26 in Endless fields of bright magenta-crimson clover grow in abundance around Oregon's Willamette Valley. The bees buzz happily above the clover, as the blooms brighten and become full of vibrant color. Oak in Summer, oil on canvas, 36 x 50 in A stately oak spreads its wide branches out over the summer-gold fields. The distant hills roll away into the distance, turning hues of purple and green, illuminated by the warm, afternoon air. The thickly applied brush strokes are applied without layering, in the Open Impressionist style created by Erin Hanson. The painting has a stained glass effect that radiates light from within the oil painting. Oregon Sky, oil on canvas, 20 x 24 in The coastal range bordering the Willamette Valley in Oregon is most beautiful just before sunset, when each layer of the mountain range turns a distinct and separate shade of color. The purple mountains contrast beautifully with the yellow sky above. Cadmium Tulips, oil on canvas, 34 x 24 in Ruby red tulips bloom in Woodburn, Oregon. The overcast sky makes the colors of the flowers even richer and more saturated. Each brush stroke is thickly applied without layering, capturing the impressionistic beauty of the scene. Lavender Rows, oil on canvas, 12 x 16 in This northwestern oil painting captures rows of cultivated lavender fields and red poppies growing beneath the distant blue coastal mountains. This petite oil painting arrives framed in a black and gold plein air frame, ready to hang. [View Available Paintings]( Upcoming Events The Erin Hanson Gallery, Oregon - Grand Opening! She spent much time in the school’s art room working diligently on some new project and at home she used to perch on the bathroom sink drawing her face in the mirror, over and over again, practicing. Her first insight into the world of art as business was her engagement at a mural studio during the teenage years. Following the advice of the adults around her that artistic career “wasn’t practical”, Hanson decided to focus on her other passion, Biology when she went to college. She earned a Bachelor of science at UC Berkeley. Starting a business after the studies, she moved to Las Vegas and on her way to a new city she was fascinated by a desert sunset over the stark mountain peaks. Overwhelmed by a burning desire to paint again, she promised herself she would create one painting every week, despite everything else. It was ten years ago and she is still keeping her promise...
