Erin Hanson Newsletter No images? [Click here]( [Erin Hanson - Landscapes in Oil]( Fresh off the Easel: Desert Clouds, 50 x 36 in Upcoming Art Events I want to invite you to one of my art events coming up this year! Experiencing original art work in person is a magical experience. The brush strokes come alive on the canvas, each stroke catching the light like a prism, subtly changing color as you view the painting from different directions. You are drawn into the painting, lost in a moment of imagination as your eyes follow the pattern of the textured brush strokes, the painting feeling larger than life, capturing the emotion of being out-of-doors under the wide open sky. I hope you can join me at one of my fine art events this year. The purple mountains contrast beautifully with the yellow sky above. Wild Sunflowers, 40 x 40 inches Wild sunflowers grow in exuberant, frolicking clusters along the roadside in southern Utah. These hardy flowers provide a beautiful pop of color to the desert landscape. Yellow Irises, 38 x 28 inches Yellow irises bloom in the Oregon countryside, the colorful blooms a beautiful contrast against the rich green leaves. The brush strokes in this semi-abstract painting are loose and impressionistic, alive with color and motion. Rising Fog, 24 x 34 inches Rising fog off the Pacific coastline reveals looming boulders that gather along the water's edge. The foaming waters reflect the purple and turquoise light of early morning. The thick, impressionist brush strokes capture the movement and color of the scene.
