What I told President Zelenskyy

I was able to get their firsthand account of Russia’s brutal war and observed the destruction in Kyiv myself. My trip to Kyiv not only offered the opportunity to witness the steadfast resolve of the Ukrainian people but also the leadership of President Zelenskyy and his team. Their unwavering strength is both inspiring and a beacon of hope for all who are committed to fighting back against oppression. As a Member of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, I reaffirmed to President Zelenskyy our commitment to Ukraine in these difficult times. I pledged to President Zelenskyy that I would continue to advocate in Congress for resources to keep Ukraine in the fight. Because Ukraine’s fight for freedom is every democracy’s fight. If they fall, any of us could be next. If Ukraine succeeds, we all renew the promise of democracy. We will not stop until Russian troops are out of Ukraine.
