We can no longer afford to wait for Republicans to have a change of heart. {NAME}, I’m writing you with a heartbreaking new statistic: almost every day since the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas, there has been a mass shooting in the United States. That’s 38 shootings in just over 2 weeks. I’ve been working with my colleagues in the House to move Republican blockades against the gun reform we so desperately need. Still, their inaction speaks louder than their trite apologies and empty promises. We can no longer afford to wait for Republicans to have a change of heart. Every day, innocent lives are taken in preventable tragedies. We must act. Extremists in Congress who refuse popular, common-sense solutions — like an assault weapons ban, red flag laws, and increasing the legal age to buy a gun — are more vulnerable than they realize. This November will be a referendum on Republican inaction on gun reform. We’ve set a goal of raising an additional $10,000 in online, grassroots donations so we can continue this fight and we’re going to need your help. We’re asking our gun-sense supporters to chip in $15, $25, or whatever they can afford so we can finally get this done. [Can you rush a donation to help us fight these Republicans on the front lines in battleground states?]( [( Thank you for all your support, Eric Paid for by Swalwell For Congress If you believe you received this message in error or wish to no longer receive email from us, please [unsubscribe](.
