Donât worry, the âall is wellâ narrative will continue spilling out of the White House until the midterms are behind us. And yet the disconnect from reality in this narrative is creating one hell of an investment storm ahead for us. [Energy and Capital Header] Practical Investment Analysis for the New Energy Economy The Calm Before the Storm: 2 Reasons Oil Will Rise (Spoiler: Itâs NOT Because of Putin) Keith Kohl | Sep 16, 2022 All is well; nothing to see here, folks. Never mind that year-over-year inflation came in at 8.3%, U.S. crude oil output has stalled at a hair over 12 million barrels per day, or that the U.S. government is selling more crude oil from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve at a rate of more than a million barrels per day. Again, all is well. At least, thatâs what weâre told. After all, gas isnât $6 a gallon anymore, itâs only $3.70. A barrel of oil isnât $122, itâs only $82. Donât worry, the âall is wellâ narrative will continue spilling out of the White House until the midterms are behind us. And yet the disconnect from reality in this narrative is creating one hell of an investment storm ahead for us. Look closely, and youâll find one of the few win-win trades long before the investment herd realizes whatâs going on. The Perfect Investment Storm Is Brewing for Oil This Winter Before we go any further, dispel from your mind the belief that Russia is to blame for high oil prices. I know itâs difficult, believe me. Iâd love to do nothing more than make Putin a scapegoat for the supply/demand deficits that are coming. Itâs too easy to fall for that trap. Sure, the sanctions levied on Russiaâs oil industry have led to some of its customers cutting ties, namely the United States and South Korea. Amazon Just Got B****-Slapped Amazon has been fined $1.28 billion for dominating Italyâs e-commerce market. According to Italian antitrust regulators, Amazon used its logistics service to block competitors from gaining visibility and making sales. But Amazon is a $1.3 trillion company. To Amazon, paying this fine is like spending quarters at a gumball machine. And the company is still poised to make over $540 billion by the end of the year. But Iâm not touching Amazon stock. And you shouldnât either. Owning its stock would mean sharing in all the fines and losses its shareholders are racking up. Instead, you could use my blueprint to "backdoor" Amazon without owning a single share â earning regular payouts that I call âPrime Profits.â [It only takes two minutes to get set up for collecting these payouts.]( However, the truth is that thereâs just as much Russian oil on the market today as a year ago, and the only difference is where it winds up. Take a look for yourself: [russian oil exports] It turns out that China, India, and Turkey are more than happy to pick up a few hundred thousand barrels of crude per day⦠at a nice discount too. So what exactly IS there to be bullish on? Well, for that, weâll have to peel back the veil masking whatâs really going on. For starters, the historic, 180-million-barrel release from the SPR over the course of six months has deluded investors into a safe sense of supply security. All you have to do is take a look at the EIAâs latest petroleum report, which showed a weekly build of 2.4 million barrels in the U.S.' commercial oil inventories. Interestingly (or perhaps not, depending on how you look at it), that build coincided with a release of around 8 million barrels from the SPR. Think about that for a minute. Bidenâs SPR release is the ONLY REASON we were able to see a build in inventory.  As if that werenât enough, keep in mind that U.S. gasoline inventories fell by 1.8 million barrels per day, suggesting that post-summer demand may still be lingering. [This Could Get Taken Down at ANY Moment]( Every year, the United States government spends more than $80 billion on a select group of secret military programsâ¦Â Otherwise known secretly as âThe Black Budget.â And the technology created behind this program is about to go mainstream. With one tiny, little-known company holding all the patents, you could have the opportunity to see gains as high as 26,221%... or more! [Get the full details here.]( Now hereâs the catch: What happens in November when the SPR sales end? Thereâs absolutely no incentive for President Biden to keep that oil flowing after the midterm elections. Not only is it a political land mine for him personally, but the SPR was simply never intended to be used this way. And to give you an idea of how much oil weâre talking about, the SPR â selling oil at a rate of 1 million barrels per day â would be the worldâs 20th-largest oil producer if it were its own country, and right up there with India, Oman, and the United Kingdom. This bullish catalyst for oil may line up with a second one: the reopening of China. After months of severe COVID lockdowns, is China finally ready to make a comeback? Right now, the city of Chengdu is starting to loosen its lockdown restrictions, and if China truly is ready to open up again, weâre going to see global demand jump significantly. For a little perspective, there are twice as many people in Chengdu as there are in New York City! But like I hinted at earlier, there is a win-win oil investment you should be taking advantage of. You see, investors in [this basket of oil stocks]( will be rewarded no matter which direction prices move!
