I joined the EMILYs List team as the Vice President of Digital nine months ago, right at the beginning of an election cycle unlike any that I, or this pro-choice community, have ever seen. Anti-choice Republican extremists have been hard at work trying to restrict or ban abortion outright since Roe v. Wade was overturned last summer. What they never expected to see was that voters have stepped up to stop them every chance they got. GOP extremism is extremely out-of-step with the overwhelming majority of Americans, and we've got the nationwide election results to prove it. 2023 marked a year of incredible wins made possible by this community, and 2024 will be full of opportunities for more. If we're going to carry this year's momentum into next November, we need an air-tight gameplan. That's why I'm reaching out today, friend. We have a tough road ahead of us to defeat well-funded, well-organized anti-choice extremists at the ballot box from now until Election Day.
