Support these women now to protect open seats AND our Senate majority ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [EMILYs List]( Friend, I wanted to highlight some startling numbers for you. Only 58 Black women have ever been elected to Congress, and just two of those 58 have been elected to the Senate. As a member of this pro-choice community, you know Democratic pro-choice women often face tough races against well-funded opponents. When these pro-choice women are Black, the fundraising gap, which is a key indicator in campaign outcomes, only widens. This cycle, EMILYs List is supporting Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE-SEN) and Angela Alsobrooks (MD-SEN), two women who can SAVE open blue seats and bring badly-needed representation to our Senate. We need a government that reflects the American people, and that means electing more women of color everywhere. [More on Lisa and Angela in a minute. Already fired up and ready to help elect more Democratic pro-choice women of color up and down the ballot? Donate now.]( Friend, if you haven't already met candidates Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE-SEN) and Angela Alsobrooks (MD-SEN), allow me to introduce you: Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE-SEN) is a devoted public servant who has served in the highest levels of Delaware's state government and currently represents Delaware's At-Large Congressional District. Lisa centers public safety and civil rights in her work in elected office, and has been a champion for women and families throughout her career. Former Prince George's County state attorney and current county executive Angela Alsobrooks (MD-SEN) has used her positions in elected office to be an advocate and activist for accessible education, health care, and justice reform. We are thrilled she is running to bring her experience and expertise to the Senate floor. EMILYs List is deeply invested in the fight to elect more Black women to every level of elected office. Both Lisa and Angela are proven Democratic pro-choice leaders that can help usher in a new era of representation in our government — and we're proud to give our full support to each of these incredible candidates. Donate now to help elect incredible Democratic pro-choice leaders like Lisa and Angela who are helping to change the face of representation in political office *everywhere*: [( Thank you, Jessica Mackler (she/her/hers) Senior Vice President of Campaigns, EMILYs List [CONTRIBUTE]( [MAKE IT MONTHLY!]( EMILYs List is a community of over five million members that helps elect Democratic pro-choice women to office.
