And back in 2021, he vehemently defended a six-week ban in Texas that included no exceptions. In fact, he went so far as to say that he opposes abortion access even in instances of sexual violence, abhorrently claiming that âtwo wrongs donât make a right." It should also come as no surprise that Vance's top supporters belong to the ultraconservative wing of the Republican Party. The Heritage Foundation, which helped author Republicans' draconian Project 2025 policy book, calls Vance "one of the leaders â if not the leader â of our movement." J.D. Vance is joining many Republicans in trying to mislead voters about their extremist anti-choice views, because they know their true agendas will lose at the ballot box. But his actual stance couldnât be clearer. He is an ultraconservative extremist joining Donald Trump in an attempt to undo decades of progress and threaten the lives and freedoms of millions of Americans.
