In 2018, we did what many said was impossible and made history by electing the youngest Black woman to ever serve in Congress. Then, this team overcame staggering political odds in 2020 by propelling me to my second term by just 5,374 votes in one of the top 10 closest House races of the election cycle. Fast forward to the 2022 midterms: We rallied together to face a significant hurdle following Illinois' redistricting process that made 70% of IL-14 brand-new territory with voters who had never seen my name on their ballot before. And that brings us to today, as I am proudly serving my third term in Congress and my first in House leadership. With your support, I've been able to champion critical legislation improving health care access and lowering premiums for a record 21.3 million Americans, reducing the cost of insulin for seniors, rebuilding our nation's infrastructure with a once-in-a-generation investment, addressing the climate crisis, making our communities safer, and so much more. Over the last five years, I've had 14 pieces of legislation signed into law under two different administrations. Looking back at our many accomplishments has me feeling hopeful and eager to show that, once again, we have what it takes to defend this seat. We have proven time and again that our team is capable of accomplishing anything that we set our mind to. As you know, our work is far from over. With election season in full swing, we find ourselves facing new challenges and new opponents. I'm running for reelection this November to build on our work to reclaim and protect reproductive rights, reform our nation's deeply unequal health care system, make life better for our working families, and so much more. But I can't do any of it without you. I don't take a single supporter on this team for granted, and know that I must continue the hard work for our district to earn your trust and vote each election. That's why I am humbly asking for your support on my reelection campaign this year. This grassroots team has been an invaluable part of our success from the very beginning, and I would be honored to have you continue alongside me on this journey. If you want to support our work and ensure we have the resources to continue making progress, please split a contribution between me and EMILYs List If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $15]( [DONATE $35]( [DONATE $50]( [DONATE $100]( [DONATE $250]( [DONATE ANOTHER AMOUNT]( With deep gratitude and respect, thank you for joining my reelection campaign today.
