Happy Holidays from all of us at Orvis. Can't see images? [View Online.]( [ORVIS©]( [Men]( [Women]( [Fly Fishing]( [GIFTS]( [Dogs]( [Sale]( [To all of you this holiday season, thank you.]( Pippa’s four-year-old eyes didn’t blink as she held onto the trunk of the tree and gazed above the horizon. She smiled and held her breath as she watched ducks flying against the scattered clouds. At this time of year, our family does what most families do—we pause to think about the things we are most thankful for. The moment above is a special one for the two of us. It occurred several weeks ago, when we spent time in Arkansas with family and friends (including dogs, of course), trudging around flooded willows and introducing Simon’s daughter to the impressive waterfowl migration that takes over the Mississippi Delta this time of year. We are proud that Orvis is family-owned, and we look at the entire organization as one big family. Similarly, we like to reflect on the things that bring us the most gratitude: relationships; the outdoors; and the innate sense of curiosity that lives within all of us. These three ideas represent why we are driven to develop products and offer services that inspire and celebrate meaningful connections in nature. We also consider you, our customer, part of the family. We’re especially thankful that you have played such an important part in our commitment to protecting these connections to nature for future generations. Your passion and your loyalty fuel our “5% for Nature” program, which dedicates 5% of our pre-tax profits to conservation. Over the past 30 years, with your help, we have given more than $21 million to conservation efforts and organizations, and in 2018 we went all-in on our efforts to restore the Everglades, preserve Bristol Bay, help place thousands of dogs in loving homes, and advance canine-cancer research. To all of you this holiday season, thank you. You inspire us to be our best. Thanks for being part of our extended family, and we welcome you to join us in inspiring others to love and celebrate the adventure and wonder in nature. At Orvis, we have a saying, “The Great Awaits.” We hope that The Great finds you this holiday season in the form of special connections and meaningful moments in the outdoors with those most meaningful to you.
