Dear elmenus User, Our priorities at elmenus are clear, we value the safety of our users, runners, employees and restaurant partners and will go the extra mile to ensure we create a safe and sustainable experience for everyone and support your food delivery orders while you order from home during this period. We acted quickly last week and made changes to our apps and processes as concerns were increasing around possible COVID-19 infections in Egypt. Here is a summary of all the immediate actions we took and we will continue to act promptly as we follow closely global and local best practices and safety guidelines: Our Restaurant Partners - We have raised awareness to our restaurant partners by providing them with guidelines on how to handle food safely including wearing gloves while preparing food, regular use of sanitizers and respecting a 1.5m distance when delivering your orders - We put together an emergency team at elmenus responsible for doing in-store random visits and phone calls to restaurants to validate their hygiene practices Our App - We worked last week to rapidly launch a “hygiene check” feature on our apps that marks restaurants we have checked for hygiene practices, please update your app to the latest version from the store Our Runners - We have trained our runners to leave a safe distance when delivering your food and whenever possible leaving the package at your door for minimal contact to ensure safety of both you and the runner.
