It's not just about making headlines; it's about setting records. According to Dow Jones Market Data, Bitcoin gracefully ascended to an all-time intraday high of $68,990.90 on November 10, 2021. This isn't just another day in the market; it's a milestone that marks Bitcoin's ongoing journey in the financial landscape. Breaking Out 🚀 The intrigue doesn't stop at intraday achievements. Bitcoin also captured the market's attention with a record end-of-day price of $67,352.59, calculated at 4 p.m. E.T., just the day before its peak. Currently, with a standing at about $59,399 according to the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index, Bitcoin seems to be modestly retreating, now sitting around 14% below its record high. It's a reminder of the cryptocurrency's dynamic nature and its unpredictable charm. Driving Force 🚚 What's driving this latest episode of market enthusiasm? It appears to be a combination of factors, including the introduction of new Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and the anticipation of the upcoming "halving" event, which is expected to reduce the rewards for Bitcoin mining. These elements are injecting a fresh dose of optimism and speculation into the Bitcoin narrative, contributing to its current market performance. As Bitcoin flirts with the idea of reaching new highs, the market watches with a mix of anticipation and skepticism. This latest movement is a testament to Bitcoin's enduring appeal and its capacity to spark conversation and debate within the financial community. Whether this will lead to a new era of highs or a momentary blip in its storied existence remains to be seen. Featured Earnings 💰️ - TJX Companies [TJX] ... AM - Baidu [BIDU] ... Flywire reported a surprise profit of $0.01 per share against the consensus estimate of a $(0.07) share loss. It posted a $(0.01) per share loss a year earlier. Revenues of $100.5 million marked a significant increase from its last Q4 top-line of $73.1 million. Flywire also posted strong Q1 and full-year 2024 revenue guidance. FLYW is up 21.5% on more than 50K shares traded. My Take: FLYW volume is thin but its earnings report looks pretty good. This catalyst could help the stock extend its recent uptrend. Bandwidth [BAND] - Last Close: $12.15 Strong earnings are also boosting shares of Bandwidth, after the company posted a double-line beat on its quarterly report this morning. The cloud-based software firm reported EPS of $0.38 on revenues of $165.39 million; topping the consensus of $0.23 EPS on $154.06 million revenues. The company also posted Q1 and full-year 2024 guidance that surpassed analysts’ expectations. BAND is a top mover with a 30.7% gain on roughly 75K shares traded. My Take: BAND’s earnings beat could help it break out of its recent downtrend, but expect resistance at the $15 mark. Beyond Meat [BYND] - Last Close: $7.52 An earnings beat and a newly announced cost-cutting initiative are lifting shares of this alternative meat stock in early trading. Beyond Meat reported a 7.8% decline in revenues, but managed to top the Street’s consensus with a $73.7 million top-line figure. Its operating loss more than doubled to $(2.40) per share from $(1.05) per share a year ago. The company also announced plans to increase its prices and “steeply” cut costs in 2024. BYND is up 56.6% on nearly 5 million shares traded. My Take: BYND’s revenues were down, its operating loss widened, and its still nowhere close to turning a profit. This rally is running on pure hype, I would stay away unless you have a solid plan. Icannex Healthcare [IXHL] - Last Close: $4.22 Positive top-line data from a Phase 2 Psi-GAD1 clinical trial of psilocybin for generalized anxiety disorder is rallying this micro-cap biotech stock. Icannex said the trial achieved its primary endpoint and demonstrated statistically significant reductions in therapeutic benchmarks. IXHL is up 86.0% on roughly 5 million shares traded. My Take: IXHL could get a boost from the hype surround alternative medicines like psylocybin, which is the active ingredient in Magic Mushrooms. That's it for today!
