Good Morning! Hey, there! It's Chris from Elite Trade Club, here to give you this morning's premarket trading news. Today is Wednesday, November 8th. I hope you have a great day. Now, let's get ready to trade! Markets 📈 Stocks closed Tuesday with mixed results. The Dow added 0.1%, and the S&P 500 gained 0.2%. The Nasdaq outperformed with a 0.9% gain, and the small-cap Russell 2K edged lower by 0.2%. Today, futures are down in early trading. S&P 500 futures are down by about 0.1%. Nothing major to report. What to Watch Today 👀 Disney Earnings The biggest name on today's earnings docket is undoubtedly Disney. The media giant will report its earnings after the closing bell, and it should be an interesting report. Disney has struggled over the past year, but a strong quarterly report could put it back on the right track. Major Earnings 💰 Biogen [BIIB] ... AM Warner Bros. Discovery [WBD] ... AM Roblox Corporation [RBLX] ... AM Kellanova [K] ... AM Walt Disney Company [DIS] ... PM Corteva [CTVA] ... PM Fair Isaac Corporation [FICO] ... PM Take-Two Interactive Software [TTWO] ... [LPRO] >> (32.8%) - Sleep Number [SNBR] >> (34.7%) Take-Two Interactive [TTWO] - Last Close: $72.34 The rumor mill is giving Take-Two a boost. Yesterday, Bloomberg News reported the company would unveil the latest edition to its best-selling franchise, Grand Theft Auto, this week. The report claimed the announcement would be followed by a trailer for the game next month, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games. The game's predecessor, "GTA V", has garnered around $7.68 billion in sales since its launch in 2013 and ranks among one of the most profitable titles ever. TTWO is leading the S&P 500 with a 9.5% gain. My Take: This news could put a big buzz around TTWO. Now could be an excellent time to make an entry. UpWork [UPWK] - Last Close: $12.03 Strong earnings are lifting shares of Upwork. The freelancing platform released its Q3 results after Tuesday's closing bell, and the report surpassed analysts' expectations. Upwork reported EPS of $0.21 for the quarter, compared with a loss of $(0.03) per share a year earlier, and beat the consensus estimate. Revenues came in at $175.7 million and also topped analysts' $168.1 million target. The company also raised its guidance in light of the strong quarter. UPWK is up 23.1% in early trading. My Take: UPWK has been on a tear since shares bottomed out at $10 apiece last week. However, it will likely face some resistance around the $15 mark. Lumos Pharma [LUMO] - Last Close: $3.64 Lumos Pharma is trending after a clinical update. The tiny pharma firm said Phase 2 trials evaluating oral LUM-201 for pediatric growth hormone deficiency met their primary and secondary endpoints. The company says the data supports advancing the clinical program to a pivotal Phase 3 trial. CEO Rick Hawkins said the optimal dose is 1.6 milligram/kg/day LUM-201 to advance to phase 3, and preliminary data show durability out to 24 months of treatment. Shares of LUMO are up 41.7% in the premarket. My Take: LUMO has been in a positive trend since late September, and this news could throw more fuel on the fire. GAN [GAN] - Last Close: $0.8918 GAN is rallying on buyout news. The online gaming platform has agreed to be acquired by Sega Sammy Creation in a $107.61 million all-cash deal. Under the terms of the deal, GAN shareholders will be paid $1.97 per share for their holdings. GAN said it will ask its shareholders to consider and vote to approve the merger agreement at a special meeting of shareholders to be held by March 31, 2024. The deal is expected to close in Q4. GAN is leading the premarket with a 93.9% gain. My Take: Great deal for GAN shareholders but the upside is quickly escaping from this trade. That's it for today! Thanks for reading, and good luck out there! Best Regards, Chris D. -- Elite Trade Club P.S...
