Good Morning! Hey, there! It's Chris from Elite Trade Club, here to give you this morning's premarket trading news. Today is Tuesday, October 17th. I hope you have a great trading session. Now, let's get ready to trade! Markets 📈 Stocks rallied on Monday as investors perused new corporate earnings. The Dow added 0.9%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq rallied for 1.0% and 1.2%, respectively. The Russell 2K added 1.5%. Today, futures are down slightly in early trading. S&P 500 and Dow contracts are down 0.2%. Sponsored [Industry Seeing 2,162% Gains]( The U.S. government is moving towards electric cars. And European countries are phasing out gas-powered vehicles entirely. Norway will ban oil & gas, with England following by 2030. This proves the future is in electricity. Investors are flocking to get in before this company gets a deal like Mercedes gave to their partner. [Get the Details in this Free Report]( Premarket Highlights 🔎 📉 None Quiet premarket with no major stories to report beside corporate earnings. What to Watch Today 👀 More Big Earnings Reports The driving force behind this week's trading action is likely to be corporate earnings. Several big names are reporting today, with more to come later in the week. Today's headline names include, Johnson & Johnson, Bank of America, Lockheed Martin, and others. Keep an eye on this tickers because they could see a lot of action today. Major Earnings 💰 Johnson & Johnson [JNJ] ... AM Bank of America [BAC] ... AM Lockheed Martin [LMT] ... AM Prologis [PLD] ... AM Goldman Sachs Group [GS] ... AM The Bank Of New York Mellon [BK] ... AM Interactive Brokers [IBKR] ... PM J.B. Hunt Transport Services [JBHT] ... PM Omnicom [OMC] ... PM United Airlines [UAL] ... PM Economy 🏗 - Retail sales minus autos [Sep] ... 8:30a - Industrial production [Sep] ... 9:15a - Capacity utilization [Sep] ... 9:15a - Business inventories [Aug] ... 10:00a - Home builder confidence index [Oct] ... 10:00a Running Hot 🔥 Gainers - Aurora Mobile [JG] >> +65.8% - Meiwu Tech [WNW] >> +15.6% - ATIF Holdings [ATIF] >> +27.2% Decliners - Evelo Biosciences [EVLO] >> (68.1%) - Nuvve Holding [NVVE] >> (32.5%) - NetScout [NTCT] >> (19.9%) SciSparc [SPRC] - Last Close: $2.81 SciSparc is moving higher after an announcement. Yesterday, the company announced it has regained compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement. The stock came into compliance with the exchange's rule after closing above $1 per share for the 10 business days in a row. Nasdaq now considers the enforcement matter closed. SPRC is up 92.1% in early premarket trading. My Take: SPRC had an 18.8% short percentage as of Sept. 29th, so this could be a short squeeze. Assembly Bioscience [ASMB] - Last Close: $0.7260 Assembly Bio is rallying after unveiling a new partnership. This morning, the tiny biotech said it will team up with Gilead Sciences [GIL] to develop "innovative antiviral therapeutics targeting serious diseases." The 12-year R&D partnership will have an initial focus on herpes viruses, as well as hepatitis viruses B and D. Under the terms of the agreement, Assembly Bio will receive $100 million, consisting of an $84.8 million upfront payment and a $15.2 million equity investment from Gilead. Gilead has also agreed to purchase up to 29.9% of Assembly Bio's outstanding voting stock at a premium. ASMB is up 139.6% on news of the deal. My Take: ASMB just hit the big leagues with this deal. The future could be bright for this tiny biotech. Wisa Technologies [WISA] - Last Close: $0.2480 Wisa Tech is rebounding after a Monday sell-off. The micro-cap electronics firm lost 40% yesterday after announcing the pricing of a $4.8 million public offering of Series B convertible preferred stock & warrants. Shortly after the announcement, analysts from Refinitiv/Verus upgraded the stock from "sell" to "hold." However, the sentiment towards this stock suddenly shifted after the closing bell, and shares began to gain sharply in the premarket. Now, WISA is up 39.1% in early trading, and it's one of today's top premarket stocks. My Take: WISA also had a high short percentage of 13.7% as of Sept. 29th, which could provide some explanation for its sudden reversal. Athersys [ATHX] - Last Close: $0.0981 A recent announcement is boosting shares of Athersys. After Monday's close, the company entered into a warrant exercise inducement offer letter to raise up to $3.9 million in gross proceeds from 28 million warrants. Athersys also recently received a $1.5 million payment on its MOU with Healios for rights to develop MultiStem to treat acute respiratory distress syndrome. The company could also receive up to $3 million in additional near-term payments and $150 million in potential milestones and royalties. ATHX is one of this morning's top performers with a 36.6% gain. My Take: ATHX is taking action to shore up its liquidity, which is never a bad idea. The stock just suffered a dramatic selloff last week, so maybe they're hoping this announcement will restore shareholders' confidence. That's it for today! Thanks for reading, and good luck out there! Best Regards, Chris D. -- Elite Trade Club P.S...
