Good Morning! Hey, there! It's Chris from Elite Trade Club, here to give you this morning's premarket trading news. Today is Wednesday, October 4th. I hope you have a great day in the market. Now, let's get ready to trade! Markets 📈 Stocks sold off on Tuesday, with the Nasdaq's 1.8% decline leading the charge lower. The S&P 500 lost 1.3%, and the Dow fell 1.2%. The Russell 2K's 1.6% loss was in line with the large-cap indexes. Today, futures are holding onto slim gains in early trading. S&P 500 contracts are up by less than 0.1%. Early today, the biotech reported positive clinical data from the first cohort of a Phase 1/2 HALILEO-1 trial of FLT201 in Gaucher disease. The data showed the drug produced a 700-fold baseline increase in plasma enzyme activity in the first two trial participants who received it. Freeline said the drug also produced a favorable safety and tolerability profile, with no infusion reactions or serious adverse events as of 13 weeks of dosing. Freeline CEO Michael Parini said the company is "committed to expeditiously advancing FLT201." FRLN is one of today's top stocks with a 45.4% gain on active trading volume. My Take: FRLN might be onto something here. The chart is also flashing some favorable signals. You might want to put this one on your radar. Edgewise Therapeutics [EWTX] - Last Close: $5.82 A recent clinical update is rallying Edgewise Therapeutics. The biopharma firm presented new data on EDG-5506 for Becker Muscular Dystrophy at an industry conference yesterday. Edgewise hosted a symposium at the 28th International Annual Congress of the World Muscle Society at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The presentation went over Edgewise's open label study as a treatment for Beck Muscular Dystrophy, and it's getting a warm reception from the market. Specific details of the presentation aren't available at the time of writing, but shares are heating up quickly, which likely signals the data was promising. EWTX is up 17.5% in early premarket trading. My Take: EWTX may have a promising treatment on its hand, but it's hard to read into it without having more specific info. This is a developing story, so I'm sure we'll hear more soon. Vivos Therapeutics [VVOS] - Last Close: $0.1850 A new partnership is boosting shares of Vivos Therapeutics. This morning, the company announced strategic agreements with Ormco and On Demand Orthodontist to supply its Spark clear aligners. Under the terms of the deal, the company will team up with Ormco for joint marketing and sales, with support from both brands' field sales team. On the other hand, On Demand Orthodontist will supply its network of providers with access to the Spark aligners. Financial terms of the deals weren't disclosed, but shares of VVOS are leading the premarket with a 65.4% gain on the news. My Take: This is a tough one. Very tiny stock with a very niche market. It's a long-shot, but it could have speculative potential. Sonendo [SONX] - Last Close: $0.32 Sonendo is rebounding after a pullback. The micro-cap dental equipment stock suffered a steep pullback on Tuesday after it announced it received a non-compliance notice from NYSE. Shares of SONX lost 55.6% on Tuesday following the report of the company's non-compliance with NYSE's $1 minimum share price rule. Sonendo has six months to remedy the situation, and it says it intends to respond within 10 business days of its receipt of the notice. SONX is rebounding with a 28.9% gain in today's premarket. My Take: SONX is in a tough spot. I would want to see more signs of progress before I made a move here. That's it for today! Thanks for reading, and good luck out there!
