US job market stalls 📉

Here's what moved the market today: Markets 📈 The S&P 500 [+0.1%] and Dow [+0.3%] kicked off September with modest gains, while the Nasdaq [<0.1%] pulled back. The small-cap Russell 2K [+1.1%] was the day's big winner after a big rally. [Click Here to Get the Tickers]( Today's Market-Moving News 🔎 📉 Hiring Slows; Unemployment Rises in August Today's jobs report showed the U.S. economy added 187,000 jobs in August, and payrolls for June & July were revised down by a combined total of 110,000. Throughout the Summer, the U.S. added just 150,000 jobs per month, on average, marking a dramatic slowdown from March through May's average rate of 238,000. The unemployment rate rose to 3.8% in August after holding steady around 3.5% for several months, so there are more Americans looking for work. The data indicates the U.S. job market is cooling off, which could give the Fed more reason to hold rates steady for the remainder of the year. Today's Top Winners and Losers 🔥 iCoreConnect [ICCT] $8.74 (26.9%) continued to pullback after completing its merger with FG Merger Corp on Thursday. Aditxt [ADTX] $41.36 (24.8%) pulled back after announcing a $10 million private placement of its shares. SeqLL [SQL] $17.90 (19.7%) implemented a 1-for-40 reverse stock split on Thursday. Taoping [TAOP] $3.40 (+51.7%) reported strong revenue and earnings growth in its fiscal first-half earnings report. Aspira Women's Health [AWH] $6.00 (+31.5%) continued to run hot after announced a new serum sample procurement agreement with the University of Oxford on Thursday.. Urband Gro [UGRO] $1.29 (+29.0%) rallied after Roth MKM reiterated its "buy" rating on the stock and maintained its $11 price target. An early-morning Form 4 filing also revealed director Lewis Wilks purchased 10,000 shares of common stock in an inside buy on Aug. 30th. That's it for today!
