Good Morning! Hey, there! It's Chris from Elite Trade Club, here to give you this morning's premarket trading news. Happy Monday! It's August 21st. I hope you had a great weekend. Now, let's get ready to trade! Markets 📈 The Nasdaq closed out last week with a 0.2% loss on Friday, while the Dow and S&P 500 closed near flat. The Russell 2K added a half-point on the session. Futures are in the green in early premarket trading. S&P 500 contracts are up by nearly half a point. This special report reveals what you should be doing to profit. [More here.]( Premarket Highlights 🔎 🐉 China Cuts Rates... Again Chinese banks lowered their one-year loan prime rate by 0.1% overnight, marking the country's second major rate cut in a matter of weeks, as policymakers continue to their attempts to boost the Asian superpower's slowing economy. What to Watch Today 👀 Rebound in Progress? It's a quiet schedule for earnings and economic data, so it could be a muted trading session. However, today could set the tone for the remainder of the week, as U.S. indexes try to shake off a slump that saw them suffer steep declines last week. Major Earnings 💰 Nano Dimension Ltd. The cybersecurity company is on the rise after a stronger-than-expected fiscal Q4 earnings report on Friday. Palo Alto reported EPS rose 80% to $1.44 per share in fiscal Q4, while revenues grew 26% YoY to $1.953 billion. Both figures topped consensus estimates, but the company's stronger-than-expected guidance was the big headline. PANW is leading the Nasdaq-100 with a 12.4% gain. My Take: PANW's report reset expectations for the cybersecurity sector, and the sentiment boost could prove to be beneficial for the broader sector. Growth for Good Acquisitions [GFGD] - Last Close: $8.45 A newly announced deal is lifting Growth for Good today. The SPAC and Zero Nox Inc. announced a PIPE investment for $5 million at $10 per share. Investors in the pipe included institutional investors and other companies in the EV space. Growth for Good's CEO said the investment will accelerate its long-term partnerships and bolster its first-mover advantage. GFGD is up 23.3% on the news. My Take:GFGD suffered a steep sell off on Friday, but it's recapturing its lost ground thanks to this news. I need to see more out of this stock before I can say if it's the real deal. Timber Pharmaceuticals [TMBR] - Last Close: $1.42 Timber Pharma just annoucned a major buyout deal. The company has agreed to be acquired by LEO Pharma in a deal valued at up to $36 million. The deal includes upfront considerations of $14 million, plus contingent value rights worth up to $22.0 million. Timber says it expects shareholders to receive approximately $2.62 per share as an initial payment. TMBR is breaking out with a 95.0% gain on the news. My Take: TMBR is rallying, but this deal is somewhat convoluted. It will take me a while to read through all the details, but all in all a big win for shareholders. China SXT Pharmaceuticals [SXTC] - Last Close: $0.1485 China SXT Pharma is getting a big boost today. The Chinese pharma firm is rallying in response to China's rate cut announcement earlier this morning. There has been no specific news pertaining to SXTC, but the rate cut news rallied several Chinese stocks this morning. Shares are up 114.1%, and it's this morning's top performing stock. My Take: This rally is likely a flash in the pan. I wouldn't go chasing SXTC unless you have a solid game plan and an appetite for risk. That's it for today! Thanks for reading, and good luck out there! Best Regards, Chris D. -- Elite Trade Club P.S...
