Good Morning! Hey, there! It's Chris from Elite Trade Club, here to give you this morning's premarket trading news. Today is Thursday, August 3rd. I hope you have a great trading session. Let's get ready to trade! Markets 📈 The Nasdaq sold off for a 2.1% loss on Wednesday as investors reacted to news that the Fitch had downgraded the U.S. government's credit rating. The S&P 500 and Russell 2K both tumbled 1.3%, while the Dow lost 0.9%. Today, S&P 500 futures contracts are down about 0.3% in early trading, so we could be headed for another down open. Sponsored [This Could Be the #1 Ground Floor Play for 2023 🚀]( This cutting-edge company is giving the public the chance to get in on the ground floor. It's a rare chance to buy into a company BEFORE its IPO.... If history is any indication, it could deliver massive windfalls for early movers. And you still have time to get in for dirt cheap. [Make Your Move Before You Miss Out]( Premarket Highlights 🔎 🇬🇧 BOE Raises Rates by a Quarter-Point The Bank of England raised its key interest rate for the 14th time in a row on Thursday. Policymakers hiked their interest benchmark by 0.25% and said they may have to implement more hikes to beat back high inflation. What to Watch Today 👀 Tech Earnings We'll hear from two of the world's most valuable companies after today's closing bell, Apple & Amazon. These reports could have a huge impact on tomorrow's trading session, so it's probably worth hanging around after the close to see what their quarterly reports look like. The IT services firm released its Q2 earnings report after Wednesday's closing bell, and the market likes what it sees. Cognizant generated EPS of $1.10 on revenues of $4.89 billion, topping the consensus of $0.99 EPS on $4.84 billion in revenues. The company's Q3 revenue guidance also surpassed the Street's expectations, and it raised its full-year 2023 earnings outlook. CTSH is leading the S&P 500 with a 7.4% gain in today's premarket. My Take: CTSH is coming off a pullback, but today's rally could put it above a key resistance level at $70. Informatica [INFA] - Last Close: $18.37 Informatica is also riding a wave of bullish momentum after an earnings release. Early this morning, the software firm published Q2 results that surpassed expectations for both earnings and revenues. Informatica generated Q2 EPS of $0.17 per share and topped analysts' $0.12 EPS estimate by a substantial margin. Second-quarter sales of $376 million also beat the Street's $360.5 million target. Informatica als issued Q3 and full-year guidance that was in-line with analysts' estimates. INFA is a top performer in today's premarket with a 19.7% gain. My Take: I don't think the rally will have real legs. CRKN has a microscopic market cap of just $5.82 million, so this move could be the result of targeted market manipulation. Adamis Pharmaceuticals [ADMP] - Last Close: $1.33 Adamis Pharma is rebounding after a Wednesday sell off. The tiny pharma firm announced a new public offering of 5.93 million shares of common stock yesterday that sent its shares spiraling lower. Adamis priced the offering at $1.35 per unit consisting of one share of stock and one warrant to purchase one share of common stock at $1.35 per share. Ultimately, the company expects a gross proceed of $8 million. ADMP fell 66.6% on Wednesday following the announcement, but it reversed course after the close. Shares are up 36.0% on elevated trading volume. My Take: ADMP has been very volatile the past few days, which is no surprise considering its $3.7 million market cap. Be careful with this one. Traeger [COOK] - Last Close: $4.12 Traeger made a splash with its latest quarterly numbers. The BBQ grill-maker released its Q2 earnings results after Wednesday's closing bell, and shares are heating up in the premarket. Traeger reported a surprise profit of $0.04 per share and beat the consensus estimate of a $(0.02) per share loss by 300%. Quarterly sales of $171.51 million also topped analysts' $154.89 million estimate by a whopping 10.7% margin. COOK is one of this morning's top stocks with a 24.0% gain. My Take: COOK's chart looks promising. Share prices have experienced strong support at $4 per share, and this rally could help it break into a new trading range. That's it for today!
