Here's what moved the market today: Markets 📈 The S&P 500 [+0.1%] officially entered a new bull market today, thanks to broad gains in U.S. stocks. The Dow [+0.1%] and Nasdaq [+0.1%] also notched modest gains, while the Russell 2K [-0.8%] fell. The index is hovering near a new 52-week high, and the Nasdaq is on pace for its seventh-straight weekly gain. However, the mood could change quickly depending on the outcome of next week's Federal Reserve policy meeting. The growing sense of bullishness among investors can likely be attributed to hopes that the Fed will pause rate hikes in June. The Fed has signaled that it's likely to pause hikes in June, but that doesn't mean rate hikes are over. The market could react very negatively if Fed Chair Jay Powell takes a hawkish tone at the post-meeting press conference next week. Today's Top Winners and Losers 🔥 Elevation Oncology [ELEV] $1.91 (32.2%) Announced a $50 million public offering to fund clinical development of its lead drug candidate EO-3021 and provide working capital for general working purposes. Baosheng Media Group [BAOS] $9.29 (33.8%) BAOS pulled back after a 136.7% rally on Thusday. There hasn't been any company-specific news to explain the volatility. Planet Labs [PL] $3.41 (30.4%) Reported its Q1 results after Thursday's close. Earnings topped expectations, but the company slashed its fiscal Q2 and 2024 outlook to account for increasing economic headwinds. Advanced Health Intelligence [AHI] $2.18 (+603.2%) AHI exploded for an enormous gain today on massive trading volume, despite no obvious news to explain the sudden rally. Blue Apron [APRN] $8.95 (+67.2%) Closed a deal to offload operational infrastructure assets to FreshRealm in exchange for $25 million in upfront cash and $25 million in potential milestone payments. Sientra [SIEN] $2.48 (+41.7%) The FDA granted 510k clearance to Sientra's AlloX2 Pro Tissue Expander. CEO Ron Menezes noted, "This is the third new product cleared or approved by the FDA in the past 12 months..." That's it for today!
