Now, let's get ready to trade! Markets 📈 The Dow gained 0.5% yesterday, while the Nasdaq added 1.0%. The S&P 500 gained 0.6%. Today, futures are in the red in early trading. But China currently controls the entire lithium supply chain. To break China's monopoly, the U.S. is extending strong financial support for increased DOMESTIC production of the energy metal. [See How This Could Open Up New Opportunities in the U.S. Lithium Sector]( Premarket Highlights 🔎 ⚪ None Major Earnings 💰 Nio Inc. Dr [NIO] ... AM Tuniu Corporation Dr [TOUR] ... AM Economy 🏗 None. Tesla [TSLA] - Last Close: $234.86 Tesla is moving higher after an announcement. General Motors [GM] will partner with the EV manufacturer to integrate its Nort American Charging Standardard connector design inot new vehicles starting in 2025. The deal will expand access to charging for GM drivers to 12,000 Tesla supercharging stations across the U.S. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed. TSLA is leading the S&P 500 with a 6.2% gain. My Take: GM deal could be huge for TSLA. Bullish. Sientra [SIEN] - Last Close: $1.75 Sientra is up on big clinical news. After Thursday's close, the company said the FDA granted 501K clearance for its AlloX2 Pro Tissue Expander device. The company said the devices is now cleared in the US for exposure to MRI, a key screening tool for breast reconstruction patients. SIEN is up 84.0% on news of the deal. My Take: An FDA nod could be a big breakthrough for SIEN. It could help shares break into a new trading range. Sonoma Pharma [SNOA] - Last Close: $0.97 Sonoma Pharma is trending after an announcement. The company announced a new application for its intraoperative pulse lavage irrigation treatment, which can replace commonly used IV bags in a variety of surgical procedures. Only limited details are available at the moment, but the market doesn't seem to mind. The announcement is giving the stock a big boost today. Shares of SNOA are up 30.9% in today's premarket. My Take: SNOA just landed a big win that could help the stock enter a new trading range. ContraFect [CFRX] - Last Close: $1.44 ContraFect is up after a clinical update. The clinical-stage biotech said it will present at the ASM Microbe Conference in Houston on June 15th to 19th. ContraFect will present CF-370 data demonstration its efficacy in neutropenic rabbit pneumonia against an extensively-drug-resistant (XDR) strain of Klebsiella pneumoniae. CFRX is up 29.1% in anticipation of the presentation. My Take: Keep an eye on CFRX over the next few days because this conference presentation could boost shares. That's it for today!
