[Click Here and See for Yourself.]( Today's Market-Moving News 🔎 💣 SEC Declares War on Crypto; Sues Coinbase It appears that the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission is going scorched earth on the crypto industry. One day after suing Binance, one of the world's largest crypto exchanges, regulators announced a lawsuit against the largest crypto exchange in the U.S., Coinbase [COIN -12.0%]. Regulators allege the company violated rules that require it to register as an exchange and be overseen by the federal agency. The rapid-fire moves represent a dramatic escalation in SEC Commissioner Gary Gensler's push to regulate the crypto industry. Interestingly, Bitcoin [+4.4%] is edging higher in the wake of the news. Today's Top Winners and Losers 🔥 Tingo Group [TIO] $1.32 (48.2%) Short-seller Hindenburg Research announced a short position against Tingo Group and accused the Nigerian fintech company of fabricating financial statements. Novocure [NVCR] $47.00 (43.0%) Novocure presented promising results from a Phase 3 LUNAR trial evaluating TTFields therapy for non-small cell lung cancer at a medical conference. The company said the treatment improved survival, but the market remains skeptical and shares fell in response to the presentation. JOANN [JOAN] $1.14 (29.1%) JOANN reported its Q1 results after Monday's close, and its earnings, revenues, and forward-looking guidance all fell short of analysts' estimates. Several analysts lowered their price targets on the stock in response to the weak report. Hoth Therapeutics [HOTH] $3.35 (+78.1%) Hoth Therapeutics said its HT-ALZ Alzheimer's therapeutics achieved positive preclinical results that outpaced a previous clinical study. GitLab [GTLB] $46.44 (+31.9%) GitLab posted its fiscal Q1 results late Monday, and the report was better than expected. The software company's loss per share narrowed to $(0.06) from $(0.18) a year earlier and topped the consensus estimate of $(0.14) by a wide margin.
