Here's what moved the market today: Markets 📈 Stocks closed the first session in a holiday-shortened trading week with mixed results on Tuesday. The Dow [-0.1%] edged lower, while the S&P 500 [>0.1%] and Nasdaq [+0.3%] advanced. The small-cap Russell 2K [-0.2%] followed the Dow lower. The deal has drawn criticism from both Democrats and Republicans, but it would avoid a national default if completed by June 5th. Next, the deal has to clear Congress, where it could face resistance from disgruntled lawmakers. Today's Top Winners and Losers 🔥 Smart for Life [SMFL] $1.34 (38.2%) Early this morning, Smart for Life announced the exercise of warrants to buy up to 3.5 million common shares of stock for $4.5 million in gross proceeds. Beamr Imaging [BMR] $2.92 (27.7%) Beamr Imaging announced a firm commitment public offering of 2.5 million ordinary shares in an SEC filing from early this morning. Presto Automation [PRST] $2.64 (26.4%) Presto Automation pulled back after rallying 63.9% on Friday. The rally began after the company's CEO appeared on a widely-televised CNBC segment on AI. Atento [ATTO] $2.66 (+82.1%) Atento S.A. rallied as traders circulated a new section of the company's website that seemed to hint that the company would launch an AI-related cybersecurity application. Aclarion [ACON] $1.05 (+77.9%) Aclarion announced a new commercial engagement with London Clinic and London Spine Clinic for the use of its Nociscan technology. Arlington Asset Investment [AAIC] $4.06 (+47.6%) Arlington Asset Investment has agreed to be acquired by Ellington Financial [EFC -2.9%] in a big merger deal. Under the terms of the agreement, AAIC shareholders will receive 0.3619 shares of EFC, plus $0.09 in cash, for each common share of stock. That's it for today!
