Good Morning! Hey, there! It's Chris from Elite Trade Club, here to give you this morning's premarket trading news. Happy Monday! Today is May 15th. I hope you have a great weekend. ð¢ Keep an eye on your inbox the next few days! We're launching a special email course that will show you why growth stocks are still the answer in 2023, and how you can find high-quality trade targets in today's uncertain market. It's going to be LOADED with valuable info and insights, so make sure you check it out! Now, let's get ready to trade! Markets ð Stocks closed last week with a lackluster trading day on Friday. The S&P 500 fell 0.1%, the Nasdaq lost 0.3%, and the Dow declined by less than 0.1%. The small-cap Russell 2K edged 0.2% lower. Today, markets are aiming to start the weak with a higher open. S&P 500 and Dow futures are both showing 0.3% gains in early premarket trading. Sponsored [This Could Be Huge...]( ð A tiny company could be pulling ahead in a fast-growing market. Its mission is so critical that governments are pledging billions in free support to help it get the job done. Better yet, it's trading for cheap, and the Smart Money is beginning to take notice. This stock checks all the boxes, and it could be on course for a breakout in the weeks ahead. This weekend, Treasury Sect. Janet Yellen said the talks were making progress and could result in a deal. The news is likely part of the reason futures are on the rise this morning. However, the odds of a default are very, very low. This debt ceiling drama plays has become a regular feature of America's political theater. I would bet my bottom dollar that there will be a "last-minute deal to avert a default," just like there always is. Major Earnings ð° Tpg Inc. [TPG] ... AM

The semiconductor firm is reportedly "fast-tracking" merger discussions with Kioxia Holdings Corp in response to worsening economic conditions. Under the proposed deal, Kioxia would end up with a 43% stake, and Western Digital would own 37% of the combined company, according to Reuters. However, the merger is expected to draw scrutiny from antitrust regulators in the U.S., China, and other countries. Activist shareholder Elliott Management is also pushing the company to offload its flash-memory business ahead of the business combination. WDC is one of this morning's top S&P 500 stocks with a 2.7% gain. My Take: WDC is in a downtrend, but it's beginning to show signs of flattening. This merger could be the catalyst it needs to turn the corner, but the deal is going to have to overcome a lot of obstacles to survive. Sarepta Therapeutics [SRPT] - Last Close: $120.20 Sarepta Therapeutics is skyrocketing after a favorable regulatory ruling. The FDA's Tissue and Gene Therapies Advisory Committee voted 8 to 6 in favor of accelerated approval for SRP-9001 in Duchenne muscular dystrophy patients. Sarepta announced the results of the vote this morning, and the FDA is expected to make a final ruling on May 29th. Although the panel's vote isn't binding, the FDA usually follows the advice of its experts, so the ruling greatly improved the drug's chances of fast-track approval. SRPT is up 28.9% on news of the approval. My Take: SRPT appears to be headed for a drug approval, but shares have been volatile as of late. Some uncertainty remains, but I would imagine this stock would see some kind of pop if SRP-9001 gets a accelerated approval from the FDA. NeoGames [NGMS] - Last Close: $12.84 NeoGames is rallying in the wake of a buyout announcement. On Sunday, the gaming firm said it has agreed to be acquired by Australia's Aristocrat Leisure in an all-cash deal valued at $1.2 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, NGMS shareholders will receive $29.50 for each common share, a 129% premium from the stock's Friday closing price. The deal is expected to close within 12 months, and NeoGames will become a privately-held company upon closing. News of the merger skyrocketed NGMS to a 119.3% gain in the premarket. My Take: NGMS's board just landed one hell of a deal. There's not much upside left here, so I don't see any reason to chase a position here, but a 129% premium is pretty impressive. Aligos [ALGS] - Last Close: $1.09 Aligos is on the rise after announcing a new collaboration. The clinical-stage biopharma firm will collaborate with Xiamen Amoytop Biotech to develop oligonucleotides for the treatment of liver diseases in China. Xiamen will get an option to obtain an exclusive license to the resulting products in greater China, while Aligos will retain rights for the rest of the world. Aligos will also receive an unspecified upfront payment, and it'll be eligible to receive up to $109 million in milestones as well as tiered royalties on net sales. ALGS is up 28.4% on active premarket trading. My Take: This deal could be a winner, but ALGS is far from a sure thing. This stock has struggled in 2023. That's it for today!
