Here's what moved the market today: Markets 📈 US benchmarks closed lower after the Fed announced a 0.25% rate hike in today's session. The S&P 500 [-0.7%], Dow [-0.8%], and Nasdaq [-0.4%] slid, but the small-cap Russell 2K [-0.4%] posted a small gain for the session. "The macro drivers from aggressive rate hikes and a strong U.S. dollar have been keeping gold below $1,800 an ounce," said RBC Capital Markets analysts. "But heightened geopolitical tensions could still support gold into the year-end, which is why a price tag above $2,000 is still possible this fall." Inflation is still well above the Fed's 2.0% target rate, but policymakers seem to be willing to wait a couple of months to see how the economy reacts to today's increase. Today's Top Winners and Losers 🔥 Guardforce AI [GFAI] $5.09 (-56.4%) Guardforce AI announced a $8 million public offering of 1.7 million common shares priced at $4.65 apiece. VCI Global [VCIG] $5.30 (-68.8%) VCI Global pulled back after skyrocketing 549% in Tuesday's trading session. There was no notable news to explain the big rally & subsequent sell off. Assure Holdings [IONM ://elitetra.de/L2Ic ] $2.40 (-34.6%) Assure Holdings filed for a public offering of roughly 2 million shares of common stock priced at $2.98 apiece ImmunoGen [IMGN] $12.26 (+135.7%) ImmunGen announced positive top-line data from a Phase 3 confirmatory MIRASOL trial of ELAHERE® in certain ovarian cancer patients. ImmunoGen said the drug produced a significant survival benefit and positive top-line data in clinical trials. Aptorum Therapeutics [APM] $5.73 (+98.2%) Aptorum announced a non-binding letter of intent to merge its wholly-owned subsidiary, Paths Innovation, with Universal Sequencing Technology Corp. Full terms haven't been release, but the company says the final terms & conditions will be fully described in the final definitive agreement. Akili [AKLI] $1.60 (+46.7%) Akili announced positive topline results from its STARS-ADHD-Adult trial evaluating EndeavorRx (AKL-T01) in adult ADHD patients.
