[Image](www.elitetrade.club) Good Morning! Hey, there! It's Chris from Elite Trade Club, here to give you this morning's premarket trading news. Good morning. Today is Tuesday, January 31st. I hope you have a great day. Now, let's get ready to trade! Markets 📈 US indexes fell in the week's first trading session on Monday. The Nasdaq lost 1.9%, and the S&P 500 fell 1.3%. The Dow fared slightly better with a 0.7% loss, while the small-cap Russell 2K tumbled 1.3%. This morning, futures are pointing to a down open for US stocks. S&P 500 and Dow contracts are both down 0.3%. Sponsored [How to Triple Your Income in 10 Minutes]( The stocks you own right now could produce more income for you. The automaker reported higher quarterly net income and put out stronger-than-expected earnings guidance for 2023. GM generated adjusted earnings of $2.12 per diluted share, against the consensus estimate of $1.68. Revenues of $43.11 billion also topped the Street's $40.62 billion forecast. GM is leading the S&P 500 in today's premarket with a 4.9% gain. My Take: The outlook for automakers has been pretty grim lately, but GM just delivered an unexpectedly strong quarter. This could be good news for the rest of America's legacy automakers. Motorsport Games [MSGM] - Last Close: $2.63 Motorsport Games is rallying after some debt reshuffling. Late Monday, the arcade gaming company said it executed a debt-for-equity swap with its majority shareholder, Motorsport Network. Under the terms of the agreement, Motorsport Games gave up 338,983 shares to Motorsports Network in exchange for a $1 million debt. News of the exchange sent shares of MSGM soaring. It's currently showing a 176.0% gain on active trading volume. My Take: It's not clear why the stock is reacting so dramatically to this seemingly minor news. Hillstream BioPharma [HILS] - Last Close: $0.6710 Hillstream BioPharma just landed big agreement. The pharma firm said it signed an exclusive option agreement with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to license technology targeting certain cancer proteins. According to the press release, the company will use Dana-Farber's proprietary Quatramer platform to advance its lead candidate HSB-1216. The company hopes the research will help them develop a therapy for the treatment of highly aggressive tumors. HILS is up 136.9% in the wake of the license deal announcement, and it's trading actively in the premarket. My Take: This micro-float stock is exploding on this news. The market seems to think this could be exactly what the company needs to push its lead drug through to approval. Panbela Therapeutics [PBLA] - Last Close: $1.53 Panbela Therapeutics just landed a new institutional investor. Late Monday, a Form Schedule 13G filing revealed Lind Global Fund II had amassed a 9.9% passive stake in the biopharma firm. According to the filing, Lind Global Fund II has control of 590,000 shares of PBLA. The market is bullish on the company's new institutional investor. Shares are up 18.9% in early-morning trading. My Take: The market often takes its cues from the Smart Money. If institutional players are buying up a stock, many investors are sure to follow. PBLA's rally could be the result of similar sentiments. That's it for today! Thanks for reading, and good luck out there! Best Regards, Chris D. -- Elite Trade Club P.S...
