The Nasdaq [+0.6%] rallied, while the Dow [-0.3%] and S&P 500 [<0.0%] took small losses. The small-cap Russell 2K [+0.1%] followed the Nasdaq higher. Today's Top Winners and Losers 🔥 MultiMetaVerse [MMV] $3.18 (-72.7%) MultiMetaVerse plummeted back to earth after posting an 82% gain on Friday. The company recently made its stock market debut after completing its business combination with Model Performance Acquisition SPAC last week. Moolec Sciences [MLEC] $12.99 (-32.5%) Moolec Sciences also suffered a big pullback after rallying 251% on Friday. The stock began trading on the Nasdaq last Tuesday after the company closed its business combination with Lightjump Acquisition SPAC. Cerus Corp [CERS ://elitetra.de/L2Ic ] $2.72 (-28.0%) Cerus Corp reported disappointing preliminary Q4 results today. Product revenue of $44 million missed analysts' $44.5 million estimate. The company also issued 2023 guidance of $165 million to $175 million, falling well short of the consensus estimate of $193.3 million. CinCor Pharma [CINC] $28.74 (+143.9%) CinCor Pharma agreed to a buyout deal with British pharma giant AstraZeneca [AZN +0.1%] for $26 per share, plus a contingent value right (CVR) for another $10 per share triggered on a regulatory submission for baxdosat. The deal is worth up to $1.8 billion with the included CVRs. Amryt Pharma [AMYT] - $14.51 (+107.2%) Amryt Pharma agreed to be acquired by Italy-based Chiese Farmaceutici for $14.50 per American depository share, plus a $2.50 CVR. The upfront cost of the deal is $1.25 billion, and the CVR will add another $225 million to the price if it is triggered. Albireo Pharma [ALBO] $43.85 (+92.1%) Albireo Pharma agreed to a $952 million buyout deal with Ipsen [IPSEY -1.8%] that will pay $42 per share, plus a $10 CVR. The CVR payment will trigger if the newly-combined company can obtain FDA approval of Bylvay by Dec. 31, 2027. That's it for today!
