Markets 📈 Stocks kicked off the trading week with a big rally on Monday. The S&P 500 rallied 2.6%, and the Dow advanced 1.8%. The Nasdaq jumped 3.4%, and the small-cap Russell 2K rose 3.1%. Today, futures are carrying big gains ahead of the opening bell. S&P 500 futures are showing a 1.4% gain. [MORE HERE]( Premarket Highlights 🔎 - Mastercard and Visa are under investigation by the FCC in a probe to determine whether their payment processors' token systems prevents debit-card payments from going through their networks. What to Watch Today 👀 Earnings Bonanza It's a big day for earnings. We're going to get reports from major players in several high-growth sectors. Investors will be listening closely for any hints as to companies' outlook for the US economy and consumer demand. These reports could spark volatility in today's session. International 🌍 Asia Japan's Nikkei 225 rallied 1.4% overnight, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng composite jumped 1.8%. The Australian ASX 200 spiked 1.7%. Europe Germany's DAX is carrying a 1.1% gain, and the Italian FTSE MIB is up 1.5%. The Euro Stoxx 600 has advanced 0.5% on the day. The EV-maker is set to release its Q3 earnings tomorrow, and the stock is showing strong volume and price action ahead of the report. The stock has been on a rough run as of late, and it's currently hovering around its 52-week lows. However, the upcoming earnings report could be a catalyst for the down-and-out EV stock, and investors are buying ahead of the release. TSLA is one of the top S&P 500 stocks this morning with a 3.3% gain. My Take: Tesla is seeing strong resistance at the $220 mark, and tomorrow's earnings report could determine which way share prices go from here. If its support falls through, we could see TSLA set a new 52-week low. AVEO Pharmaceuticals [AVEO] - Last Close: $10.48 AVEO Pharma is rallying on news of a buyout deal. This morning, the oncology-focused biopharma firm announced it has agreed to be acquired by South Korean-based LG Chem in an all-cash deal worth $5566 billion. Under the terms of the deal, AVEO shareholders will get $15 per share in exchange for their holdings, a 43% premium to the stock's Monday closing price. The deal is expected to close in early 2023 pending shareholder and regulatory approval. AVEO will no longer trade on the Nasdaq upon closing. AVEO is one of this morning's most actively-traded stocks, and it's up 38.8%. My Take: Big buyout deal for AVEO shareholders, but the upside is very limited at this point. RA Medical Systems [RMED] - Last Close: $5.45 RA Medical Systems is moving higher after a successful cash-raising effort. The medical device company announced the completion of an at-the-market facility raising gross proceeds of $7.6 million. RA Medical sold roughly 1.07 million shares of common stock at a weighted average price of $7.09 per share, as adjusted for a reverse split on Sept. 30th. "Proceeds from this offering help us meet the conditions of the proposed merger with Catheter Precision," said CEO Will McGuire. RMED is up 42.9% on active premarket trading volume. My Take: This is a very tiny stock that could be susceptible to wild swings. Share prices are currently sitting close to all-time lows, but the stock could have a catalyst in its future if it can successfully complete its previously-announced acquisition of Catheter Precision. FuboTV Inc [FUBO] - Last Close: $4.05 FuboTV is moving higher after an after-market earnings update. The live TV streaming stock released preliminary Q3 earnings results after Monday's closing bell, and the market likes what it saw. Fubo said it expects to close Q3 with revenue of at least $210 million, marking an YoY increase of 34%. Paid subscribers grew 27% to 1.22 million in Q3, and the company expects to deliver Q3 revenue and subscriber growth that surpasses its previously issued guidance. Fubo also said it will close its Fubo Gaming subsidiary and cease operations at its Fubo Sportsbook, effective immediately. FUBO is currently showing a 13.3% gain in early premarket trading. My Take: FUBO is in a modest up-trend, and it sounds like it is making the right strategic moves for the business. If FUBO can break through $5 per share, it could be on course for more gains.
