Please, feel free to reply to this email and tell us what you think of this new addition to the Elite Trade Club lineup! Today is Thursday, October 6th. Here's what moved the market today: Markets 📈 US indexes briefly broke into positive territory shortly after the opening bell, but it was all downhill from there. The Dow [-1.1%], S&P 500 [-1.0%], Nasdaq [-0.6%] and small-cap Russell 2k [-0.6%] tumbled for the remainder of the session, and closed with losses. Today's Top Winners and Losers 🔥 Chardan Nextech Acquisition [CNTQ] $15.24 (-29.2%) CNTQ was one of today's biggest losers after shares more than doubled on Wednesday. However, the stock is reversing course at the closing bell. Chardan Nextech just announced it has received shareholder approval for its merger with Dragonfly Energy, and shares are up 4.0% in after-hours trading. AngioDynamics [ANGO] $17.34 (-19.5%) AngioDynamic's Q1 FY23 results included an unexpected loss of (-$0.06) per share, which missed the Street's expectation of a $0.02 per-share profit. Revenues of $81.5 million also missed the mark on analysts' $83.42 million target. Top Ships [TOPS ://elitetra.de/L2Ic ] $6.40 (-35.2%) It appears Top Ships' Wednesday rally was overdone. Today, TOPS sold off just a day after an 81.9% rally that may have been a response to news of an OPEC+ production cut. Green Giant [GGE] $1.88 (+168.5%) Green Giant extended its rally in today's trading session after we featured it on this morning's report with a 60% gain. GGE added another 100%+ to its gains by the time the session closed in what appeared to be a corrective rebound from a tough stretch of losses for the stock. AdvisoryShares MSOS 2X Daily ETF [MSOX] $23.79 (+69.5%) This double-down cannabis ETF was one of the day's top performers thanks to a big rally in pot stocks. The rally started after Pres. Biden announced plans to pardon all federal offenses for simple marijuana possession. WM Technology [MAPS] $2.76 (+64.2%) The company behind Weed Maps also saw big gains after Pres. Biden announced plans to pardon all federal offenses for simple marijuana possession. That's it for today! Please, write us back, and let us know what you think of the Closing Bell Roundup.
