Biotech is leading today's premarket gainers. Get a full report on all 4 top stocks inside [Image](www.elitetrade.club) Good Morning! Hey, guys and gals. It's Chris from Elite Trade Club, here to give you the day's premarket trading news. Happy Friday! It's September 16th. Let's get ready to trade! Member Picks ⭐ Thanks for sending in your stock picks this week! Today's winner is James L. from Wilmington, DE. James chose AKAM as his Stock to Watch. Here's what he had to say: "AKAM is my #1 stock to watch in Q4. It's coming off a big pullback and trading at a great valuation." Thanks for sharing your pick, James! Markets 📈 The S&P 500 lost 1.1% on Thursday, and the Nasdaq slid to 1.4% decline. The Dow was down 0.6%, and the small-cap Russell 2K fell 0.7% on the session. Today, futures are pointing to more declines at today's open. S&P 500 contracts are currently showing a 0.7% decline. Investors see the news as a big negative for the US economy. - On Thursday evening, Uber said it was responding to a cybersecurity breach shortly after a hacker claims to have gained widespread access to Uber's network International 🌍 Asia China's Shanghai Composite fell 2.3% overnight, while Japan's Nikkei 225 posted a 1.1% loss. Australia's ASX 200 lost 1.5%. Europe Britain's FTSE 100 is up 0.1%, but the rest of Europe's major markets are in the red. Germany's DAX is down 1.4%, and the French CAC 40 has lost 1.1%. The Euro Stoxx 600 is showing a 0.9% loss. Major Earnings 💰 None. The self-storage REIT successfully closed on its previously announced deal to acquire Storage Express for $590 million. The deal includes all Storage Express assets, including trademarks, contracts, licenses, intellectual property, and 14 future development sites, Extra Space said. Extra Space funded the Storage Express deal in part via the issuance of $125 million in operating partnership units, and the remaining in cash drawn from its credit facilities. Jefferson Shreve, the founder and owner of Storage Express, has joined Extra Space's board. EXR is leading the S&P 500 with a 2.3% gain. My Take: EXR is an established, mid-cap REIT, but self-storage businesses could encounter difficulties if the US economy slows further. I am staying away from these type of stocks given the current economic environment. Applied OptoElectronics [AAOI] - Last Close: $2.50 Applied OptoElectronics is surging on a new product launch. The fiber-optic networking company announced the launch of a new family of HFC products under its Quantum BandwidthTMbrand. Applied Opto's new products include a cable plant signal generator, broadband digital access shelf module, and more. The company plans to display all the new products at the upcoming SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, taking place at the Philadelphia Convention Center Sept. 20-22, 2022. The product announced rallied AAOI to a 31.6% gain in today's premarket, and it's one of today's most active stocks. My Take: This seems like a big move considering all AAOI announced was some new product launches. If you're going to make a move in this one, be wary you don't get caught in a pullback. Blue Bird Corp [BLBD] - Last Close: $10.11 Blue Bird just made a key delivery that's sending share prices higher this morning. The school bus maker is rallying today after announcing that it successfully delivered the first of three all-electric school buses to the Chinle Unified School District in Arizona, USA. Blue Bird's electric bus reportedly runs at an average cost of 14 cents per mile, while diesel buses run at an approximate cost of 49 cents per mile. Chinle is the largest school district in Arizona's Navajo Nation, and residents hope the new electric vehicles will help save the district money and improve air quality. BLBD is one of today's top performers with a 23.2% gain. My Take: Blue Bird could see a lot of growth if its electric school buses catch on, but this rally seems overdone. Short-term, I'm staying away. Long-term, there could be an opportunity. Quotient Ltd [QTNT] - Last Close: $0.2074 A recent regulatory filing is giving Quotient Ltd a premarket boost. Yesterday, a Form 4 filing from the commercial-stage diagnostics company revealed bullish insider buying in the company's stock. Director Heino von Prondzynski reported the purchase of 700,000 shares at an average price of $0.20 per share. Altogether, the director purchased about $140,000 worth of shares. News of the insider buying lifted investor sentiment towards the stock, and now its trending in today's premarket. QTNT is up 12.3% on active trading volume. My Take: Something could be up at QTNT. The insider buying is a good sign, and the chart looks like the stock is trying to break out of its downtrend. If it can get past $0.25 per share, there could be more gains in this stock's future. That's it for today! Thanks for reading, and good luck out there! Best Regards, Chris -- Elite Trade Club P.S...
