[Get the Complete Watchlist Here]( Premarket Highlights ð - The Nasdaq officially entered a bull market yesterday, ending its longest bear market run since 2008 after Wednesday's 2.9% gain.
- The US Securities and Exchange Commission is considering a proposal that would require large hedge funds to report their crypto holdings through confidential filings. What to Watch Today ð Rebound Rally Yesterday's July CPI data showed inflation cooled to 8.5% from 9.1% in June, and the news sparked a sharp rally across most of America's large-cap benchmark indexes. Investors are hoping the improvement will make the Fed reconsider its aggressive rate-hiking agenda, but 8.5% is still unacceptably high so they can't sit on their heels just yet. We'll get more inflation data today at 8:30 a.m. when the Producer Price Index report for July comes out. Keep an eye on the data because it will probably set the tone for today's trading session. International ð Asia Hong Kong's Hang Seng rallied 2.4% overnight, while Mainland China's Shanghai Composite added 1.6%. Australia's ASX 200 gained 1.1%. Europe
The UK FTSE-100 is down 0.3%, and France's CAC 40 is showing a 0.3% loss. The Euro Stoxx 600 is down 0.1%. Major Earnings ð° - Brookfield Asset Management [BAM] ... AM

The media giant reported its Q3 earnings after Wednesday's closing bell, and the results blew away the Street. Disney's adjusted EPS came in at $1.09 for the quarter on revenues of $21.5 billion, which easily beat analysts' target of $0.99 EPS on revenues of $21 billion. Perhaps most notable, Disney reported strong growth from its Disney+ division. The streaming service added 14.4 million subscribers, bringing its total subscriber count to 221 million. DIS is leading the S&P 500 with an 8.9% gain after the earnings report. My Take: Disney has had a rough run, but its streaming service is booming and even its parks are starting to show signs of life. The company is still a bit overpriced, but I think this is a high-quality long-term holding, if you can get in at a good price point. Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals [CYCC] - Last Close: $1.33 A better-than-expected earnings report is giving Cyclacel Pharma a premarket boost. The clinical-stage biotech firm is taking off after releasing its Q2 results and a key business update. Cyclacel reported a quarterly loss of $0.46 per share, which beat the Street's prediction of a $0.63 per share loss. The company also said it expects its current cash runway will carry it through to the second half of 2023. Cyclacel also shared updates on its drug pipeline and discussed other areas of the business as part of the report. CYCC is trading actively with a 19.6% gain on the news. My Take: Cyclacel's thinning operating loss is certainly a good sign, but this company still has a long way to go before it makes the big time. Pasithea Therapeutics Corp [KTTA] - Last Close: $1.17 Strong clinical data is rallying Pasithea Therapeutics in today's premarket. The biotech company announced results from a preliminary proof of concept study of PAS002, a vaccine for multiple sclerosis or MS. The preclinical data showed the drug candidate's engineered DNA plasmids provided a high level of efficacy in reducing MS severity and incidence of relapse. A statistically significant reduction in disease and relapse severity was observed compared to the control. Pasithea says it plans to present data from the study in upcoming pharma conferences, and it will submit the full data for peer review. News of the strong drug data is lifting KTTA to a 22.2% gain on active trading volume. My Take: This could be a good way to get in on the ground floor of a speculative pharma play. If this treatment actually gets off the ground, it could drive share prices up a long way. T2 Biosystems [TTOO] - Last Close: $0.158 T2 Biosystems is running hot after a big announcement. The in-vitro diagnostics company said Tuesday that it would explore the potential to develop a rapid molecular diagnostic test for monkeypox. T2 Bio says it has corresponded with the US Food & Drug Administration and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and it is exploring developing and commercializing a testing solution for the virus. The Tuesday announcement lifted the stock to a 30.6% gain on Wednesday, and it's carrying the momentum into today's premarket trading session. TTOO is one of this morning's most active stocks, and it's currently showing a 35.4% gain. My Take: Sounds like hype is the biggest reason for this move. However, TTOO also has a high short percentage at 9.6%. I think this stock's outsized move can be attributed to a short squeeze and the general hype surrounding monkeypox-related stocks.
