Elite Daily: [In the documentary]( you didn’t seem to have too many reservations going into the trip. Did either of you ever do something like it before? Matt: This was the first time for me. [I definitely consider myself to be adventurous]( and willing to do lots of thrill-seeking activities, but this was something new for sure. Khani: Yeah, same. I like to think I'm pretty spontaneous. When I moved to New York, I did it within a week after I graduated, just on a quick whim. And when I told people, they weren't surprised that I did it, but I've never done anything to this extent before. ED: Do you have any favorite memories from the trip that didn't make it into the doc? K: I feel like the doc's definitely focused on our story and the connection between the two of us, but there were so many wonderful people in [Costa Rica]( that we had met along the way and definitely helped make the journey a lot more memorable. That was something I wished we saw a little bit more of. M: People are really, really nice and so welcoming. The Pura Vida lifestyle is super real. That became our mantra there, just living in the moment, taking each day as it comes. And that's really, I think, [how we got through it](. And yeah, there were so many people that were there that were offering us places to stay and just amazing hospitality. [We're really looking forward to going back to Costa Rica, actually](. We haven't been back. And of course, we were there when everything was closed, so I'm sure it will be even more amazing when we can go and do some of the adventure activities now that there's not a quarantine.
