Instagram changes quickly. ("Duh, Elise.") It certainly has changed quite a TON in just the last 2 years alone. (Remember when it was only photos? That was fun. Peep my first IG post from 2012 ⤵️ when I had zero followers & nothing to lose). = Keeping up with the changes can be A LOT. But, that’s exactly what I’m here for {NAME}. Using the right strategies, your video marketing can be TWICE as effective and take HALF the time to create. (As a mid-30s expat who’s adapting to the Spanish lifestyle as much as possible – late nights, late starts to the morning, afternoon siestas – I’m ALL about doing less, but still getting great results.) I’m here to keep you up-to-date about what’s working now with Reels for business, especially as the holidays approach 🎄 (AKA the biggest sales opportunity of the year). (HINT: These ideas I’m about to share aren’t just about views – but about bringing in an engaged audience that's ready to buy your offers and products.) Here are 4 types of Reels that are working today for business: #1: This is your reminder that / This is your sign to. People actually want to stop the scroll and engage because: 1) the brain hates an open loop – psychologically they need to answer the question they now have in their minds of, "What is this reminder I need? Is it important?" 2) confirmation bias – a "reminder" implies that people were already thinking these things and that they're right to be thinking them (people love affirmation). You don't need a "sign" unless you were already looking for it, and you don't need a "reminder" unless it was already your intention. This kind of video creates an immediate connection between you and your ideal follower, because they feel understood; like you know their desires and pain points. = #2: Read the caption. Intriguing statement + "Read the caption" = *chef's kiss*. 👌 Ideally, your 'intriguing' statement is a claim or an example that makes someone think "How?!" They head on over to your caption to get that question answered (remember example #1 above? The brain hates an open loop), and voilà , not only do they get more details about your statement, but they have also just spent more time interacting with your post, which is a signal the algorithm loves. = #3: People buy from people. Your advantage over the "big fish" in business, like Amazon, Google, and Walmart? You have a face. You have personality. You are not a robot, not an algorithm, not a few letters on the NASDAQ. You are human, and at the end of 2023, that's the advantage. Even if you're a product brand, people want to know who is behind it and why do they do what they do. Don't be afraid to show your why. The more you can make yourself cringe, the better. = #4: Film yourself and add text on top. Don’t feel like doing your hair or putting on makeup today? Don’t feel like talking on camera? Enter: the easiest video on the planet. I set up my phone on a tripod and face it toward whatever I am doing (eating, working, anything!), and then press record. Make sure to leave enough blank space around yourself so you can later add timed text on screen to share your info. Keep the info simple, digestible, and helpful to your target audience. = And those are four Reel ideas for business that I see working today. (I’m off to batch-film a bunch of these ideas now, using my now-famous video creation process that's been used by... ... over 27,100 business owners. Want more ideas like this? And want access to that same video creation system? I've got some incredible bonuses coming next week for On Video members that you don’t want to miss! [Be the first to know all about it.](=) Or, add the date to your calendar [HERE]( as a big, fat reminder so you don’t miss what’s about to drop on November 14th at 9am ET. (Seriously, you don’t want to miss it.) ~ Elise "The Elder Millennial On Video" Darma P.S. I’ve been talking about Black Friday promotions quite a bit and – hint hint – we’ve got something cool coming soon for On Video (my membership that delivers weekly video and caption ideas for business). [Add me to the waitlist, Elise!](=) P.P.S. Here’s a $4,000 student win from On Video: I'm finally using the info received with On Video. 3 weeks ago, I started [being] more disciplined doing reels. I just have 100+ followers and I already sold a $4K package this week. - Adriana Robledo If you wish to [unsubscribe](, you'll be removed from all mailings – including any paid programs you're a part of. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
