Last week, I was home for a total of…3 days…before we left on our next summer excursion. (And unfortunately, during that short respite, baby TZ had his first fever and cold – kinda scary for newbie parents like us. 😵‍💫) As thankful as I am to have a lifestyle that allows us to always be on the move, it’s VERY different with a baby in tow. In Greece last month, we were a lot more – “We’re gonna head back and nap the baby!” than – “We’ll meet you at the restaurant!” A lot of things this summer are different, including the way I run my business. Frankly, in this whirlwind season, I relied on 3 key things more than I ever have because OOPS... 😧 ...I accidentally took 2 full months off from working – between all our international travel and underestimating how much time I'd have left to work while chasing my toddler. 🏃‍♀️ And yet, I still generated sales daily... 👇 €‹ So today, I wanted to share the 3 key things that helped keep my business running profitably while I was off for over 2 months this summer. Thing #1: JOINT VENTURE WEBINARS This summer, I embraced working smarter, not harder. I partnered with friends of mine who I already knew were proven experts in their fields, and I brought them in front of my audience to teach the best of what they know. At the end of each free workshop, Brittany Long (who covered a [training on AI]()) and Louise Henry (who taught [my fave project management tool]()) each offered an amazing deal to my audience who joined their programs (and then I, as the host, earned a 40-50% commission of each sale). I've dabbled in JV webinars before, but this summer taught me that when there are topics where I'm NOT the go-to expert, it's faster (and more profitable) to bring in the experts who can get my audience up to speed. Thing #2: MY SYSTEMS "Systems" is a term I never fully understood in the early days of my business, but now I come to see it similar to "recipes." The systems in my business include everything from my pre-populated Asana cards that list out the A to Z of tasks that need to get done for a Youtube to be published or an email to be written... ...All the way to my team's SOPs and communication processes. These systems ran in the background so that my: 🥰 On Video members never missed a weekly content drop 🥰 My ads manager had a steady flow of new videos to test 🥰 My Asana was consistently full of new emails to send, Instagram posts to publish, and YouTube videos to film P.S. To learn more about this sounds-dry-but-is-key-to-taking-time-off topic, check out [my workshop with Louise](). Thing #3: DM AUTOMATION I just counted, and I posted to my Instagram about 16 times in the last 2 months. And yet, those posts have over 8,400 cumulative comments. ^ Most of those comments are a "code word" that I asked followers to comment so that my DM automation flows would fire off, like so: = That means I had about 8,000 opportunities for 8,000 new leads and customers in my business. 😍 --------------------------------------------------------------- There were days over the last 2 months (lots of ‘em) when I didn’t even crank open my laptop… but sales came through (lots of ‘em). I don’t gate-keep. So I [put something together]( that shares the EXACT DM templates I used to help steer my 8,000 leads towards my email list and paid offers. You can get everything set up in just a few days... And who knows, maybe you'll be taking 2 months off next... ✈️ [Start your DM automation journey here.]( See you inside, ~ Elise P.S. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
