This is unacceptable for the people of Sacramento [logo]( Hi {NAME}, Getting big money out of politics is a top priority for our campaign. That’s why I need to share this important update with you about our opponent in this race: Over the last five campaign cycles, Sacramento’s representative in Congress took over $125,000 in contributions from companies that make and distribute opioids, including $36,500 in last year’s election. This was over a period when tens of thousands of people in the Sacramento area were struggling with opioid addiction and the County of Sacramento was suing these same companies for targeting her constituents. My family and I have suffered first-hand from a healthcare system that puts profit over people. How can we trust any politician to hold these companies accountable after taking so much of their money to win an election? This is why I’m running for Congress. We need a change of leadership in Sacramento. We need elected officials who we can trust to fight for us instead of the big donors and special interests in Washington. I’ve pledged not to take a dime from pharmaceutical companies and their corporate PACs. [If you agree that our representatives in Congress should reject opioid money, we need your help. We’re still behind on our fast-approaching August fundraising deadline. A $5 contribution helps us get our message out to 20 more voters. >>]( Corporate PACs shouldn’t be calling the shots on healthcare policy in Congress. I hope I can count on you to help us take on opioid money here in Sacramento. Stay well, Jimmy Fremgen Paid and Authorized by Jimmy Fremgen for Congress 1809 S Street, Suite 101-117 Sacramento, CA 95811 If you believe you received this message in error or wish to no longer receive email from us, please [unsubscribe](.
