I hope I can count on your support as we begin this journey. [logo]( Hi {NAME}, My name is Jimmy Fremgen and I’m a proud, progressive Democrat running to represent the people of Sacramento in Congress. I want to explain how your support will be crucial as we kick off this campaign. But first, I want to tell you five quick facts that will help you get to know me and why I’m running: 1. I was born and raised in California, where I learned the value of hard work and community as a bartender, a history teacher, and a small business owner. 2. I went on to work closely with Rep. Elijah Cummings as a congressional investigator and helped protect veterans and low-income families from predatory for-profit colleges. 3. While working in Congress, I fought to pass bipartisan anti-gun trafficking laws after the tragic massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary. 4. I worked on the effort in the California legislature to ensure marijuana was legalized equitably for communities of color who were the most impacted by the failed ‘War on Drugs.’ [Alternate text] 5. I’ve seen firsthand how some politicians choose to serve big donors and corporate special interests rather than regular people like you and me. My bold platform focuses on lifting up the people of Sacramento and creating a truly fair system in our nation. I know that Sacramento and the 6th district deserve better. We deserve a representative in Congress who fights for us. Someone who understands that now is the time to step up and speak out. Someone who is dedicated to ending homelesness, passing Medicare-for-all, and stopping the climate crisis. Rather than catering to the rich and powerful, this campaign is going to be people-powered—I won’t accept a dime from corporate PACs. We’re relying on the support of grassroots supporters like you who believe in our mission. [Can you chip in just $5 today to help us show big momentum right out of the gate? >>]( I’m so proud to be starting this journey with you. I hope I can count on your support as we build a real grassroots movement for change in Sacramento.
