These eight teachers, professors, and school counselors are running in some of the most important and competitive elections in the country. We're asking you to donate $1 directly to each of them today. {NAME}, These eight teachers, professors, and school counselors are running in some of the most important and competitive elections in the country. Their races may not only determine control of the United States House of Representatives, but also the future of public education in this country. [With that much at stake, we are asking everyone who cares about kids, schools, and the future of public education to give $1 directly to each of their campaigns.]( 1) Congresswoman Katie Porter is an icon, a professor who shows up to every committee hearing as prepared and knowledgeable as you'd expect from an accomplished educator. She's running for re-election in Orange County, where the pricey Los Angeles TV market makes it uber expensive to reach voters and share her story. 2) Greg Landsman is a former High School Spanish Teacher running one of the most Democratic districts still held by a Republican. His opponent is obsessed with criminalizing abortion and banning birth control, but Greg can bring a teacher's common sense and focus on students back to a district that voted for Joe Biden by over 8%. 3) Congresswoman Jahana Hayes was the 2016 National Teacher of the Year. She's one of the few classroom teachers on the House Education Committee, and dark-money, right-wing groups are targeting her with nearly $1 million in attack ads in an attempt to silence her voice. 4) Educator Tony Vargas was a Middle School Science Teacher. Now a State Senator, he's running in a swing district around Omaha that has been decided by less than 2% in three of the last five elections. A victory for Tony this year would go a long, long way to holding the House. 5) Christina Bohannan grew up in a trailer with parents who never finished high school. Now, she's a professor at the University of Iowa College of Law. She's running the same district that was decided by just 6 votes in the last election (that 6 votes, not 6%!). 6) Kirsten Engel has 26 years of experience as an educator. She has won election to the State Senate and won a competitive Democratic primary earlier this year. She's running in an open, Democratic-held seat and fighting against a well-connected GOP opponent who's benefitted from $1.5 million in outside support from Kevin McCarthy's allies. 7) Jackie Gordon is a long-time teacher and guidance counselor, with 30 years of professional experience as an educator. She is also a veteran, having retired from the Army Reserve with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Today, Jackie is running in a Long Island district that's nearly evenly divided between Democrats and Republicans. 8) Chrissy Houlahan is a former High School Chemistry Teacher who was inspired to run for office after attending the Women's March in 2017. She won a Republican-held seat in 2018 and was re-elected in 2020. She's running in a competitive district in Chester County, one of the most important regions in Pennsylvania. [DONATE DIRECTLY]( These educators can win if they have the funding to get their message out. That's why we're asking you to make a contribution directly to their campaigns today. When thousands of educators, parents, students, and people who believe in public education support these candidates, we can help them overcome the millions of dollars in special interest support going to their opponents. Thank you for making a difference for these educators, EEE Elect Educators Everywhere helps elect teachers, school counselors, college faculty, and all types of public educators to office from coast to coast.
