Factory farming

  The US Supreme Court has just upheld a California law that protects animals from the most inhumane conditions. The pork industry is furious – but let's seize this opportunity for hope and demand governments everywhere protect animals from cruelty. But a California law has changed that, drastically increasing the minimum space given not only to pigs but hens and veal calves too. What’s more, it requires these standards to be met for animal products imported into the state too. The pork industry has fought this law with everything they’ve got, even taking it to the US Supreme Court.
