Brave activists on the ground are fighting tooth and nail against the company, Royal Golden Eagle, pushing the Indonesian government to cancel a permit to operate plantations in the rainforests. It’s a horrifying new trend: massive corporations getting round their own sustainability pledges by using shady, smaller companies that fly under the radar. The good news is that tenacious investigators and fierce campaigners are on the case, uncovering these deceptions one by one. And with Royal Golden Eagle now exposed, there’s a chance to set a powerful example for the rest of the industry.
