Help save the planet from ultra-fast fashion! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌   [Close up of a vast pile of clothing waste]( {NAME}, Fast fashion is taking over the clothing industry – companies are racing to churn out mountains of impossibly cheap clothes, thrown away after a couple of wears. These piles of waste are choking our planet – just one of them is visible from space! Now Shein, the biggest of these abominable fast fashion brands, wants to list on the London Stock Exchange to expand its toxic empire. We can stop it! Shein’s bid to list in the US failed when it came under intense scrutiny, so if we can hire a researcher to submit a hard-hitting complaint to the UK’s stock market regulator, lobby key UK politicians to block Shein’s plans, and come after Shein in the media, we know we can stop Shein’s get-rich plans in the UK too. But we need the cash to pull it off. Shein could get the green light at any moment so we have to act FAST! If all of us chip in the cost of a t-shirt, we can save the planet from this fast fashion monster. Can you help? [I'll donate $3]( donate $4]( [I'll donate $5]( donate $9]( donate another amount]( Synthetic materials commonly used in ultra-fast fashion like polyester require *342 million barrels of oil every year*. That’s how fast fashion giants like Shein became responsible for 10 percent of the world’s carbon emissions – more than all international flights and shipping COMBINED. If that wasn’t bad enough, Shein has been hit with a slew of reports exposing how its workers toil for 75-hour weeks in terrible conditions, paid wages that they can barely survive on. Some senior politicians in the UK are already on our side, raising alarm bells over Shein’s murky practices and demanding greater scrutiny of the company before it's allowed to list on the stock exchange. So there’s a real chance we can get more politicians to stop Shein – but only if we make them feel the pressure. Shein’s chances to list in the US crumbled after the US Congress scrutinized the company – if we can block Shein from listing on the London stock exchange too it would back Shein into a corner and finally force it to clean up its act! If we move fast, we can slam the brakes on a company that has been allowed to destroy our planet and violate workers’ rights with impunity. With all of us chipping in, we can help stop toxic ultra-fast fashion for good. Can you help? [I'll donate $3]( donate $4]( [I'll donate $5]( donate $9]( donate another amount]( Together we’ve made huge changes in the fashion industry before, like when Ekō members all around the world called on Australian fashion company, The Iconic, and Canadian grocery store giant, Loblaw’s, to take responsibility for the safety of its workers and they agreed to sign the Fire and Building Safety Agreement. Now, let’s do it again!
