NOAA Global Temp V6.0.0–20240508 ]( {NAME}, Humanity has two years left “to save the world”, says the United Nations' climate chief. April was the hottest month ever – and the 11th straight month to set a new record for global heat. If we don’t change now, it won't be long before all of us are forever locked into a future of extreme droughts, floods…even global food shortages. Now is the time to make dramatic changes. Yet the worst offenders responsible for our overheating planet – a rotten, predatory financial industry that poured $705 billion into big oil just last year – are flying completely under the radar. Their profits are soaring. We’re going to change that. We’ve built a crack team ready to hit the ground running to expose the banks fuelling climate chaos, in the media and with shareholders. Together we’ll shine the spotlight on them like never before — and push to make the next 24 months a real turning point for the planet. Are you ready to save the world? Chip in now: [Donate $3]( another amount]( Barclays, JPMorgan Chase, Citi and Bank of America are carrying on with business as usual: pumping billions every year into dirty energy projects, even though they pledged to drastically reduce their emissions. The companies that they generously provide with loans, investments and insurance cause 80 percent of total greenhouse gas emissions. If banks simply stopped financing fossil fuels, it would be a real reset for the global economy – and for the fight against climate change. But right now, the financial incentives are all wrong. We need to force banks and insurers to rethink and recalculate how they do business – and we can! – if we have enough funds to tackle the enormous work ahead of us like: - Making these CEOs famous for their role in climate change, hounding them at public appearances and splashing their faces on billboards and in the media; - Pushing governments to pass new laws and regulations to close loopholes and make fossil fuel projects too expensive and too difficult to bankroll; - Organising employees of targeted banks and insurers to oppose their companies’ policies from the inside; - Filing shareholder resolutions to change the rules for investing in favour of the planet; and more! [Donate $3]( another amount]( These companies are at the root of the climate crisis – and countless other tragedies that impact us all. If we’re going to save the planet in two years, we’ll have to change the way they do business fast. Together we convinced insurance giant AIG to stop underwriting a disastrous, climate-wrecking coal mine near the Great Barrier Reef. With your help now, we can take on the biggest players of the financial industry and win again. Are you with us?
