Hey {NAME}, When we first started [the egghead podcast]( in 2017 it was after watching a particularly [great episode of the Hot Ones featuring Gary Vanderchuk](=). Gary is a legend, and towards the end he starts grilling Sean Evans (the host) about his marketing strategy. In particular, he asks Sean if they upload the audio for the shows as podcasts. Sean said "No" And also acknowledged that not uploading the episodes as podcasts was a huge mistake because the show would translate really well to audio format. They listened and now you can find [the "greatest hits" interviews in podcast form](=). The Monday after the Gary V episode was released, John and I both said in unison "we should have a podcast!" egghead courses aren't as 1:1 ready for the podcast format like an episode of The Hot Ones, but we have the privilege of working and interacting with a host of amazing developers. Neither John or I have ever hosted podcasts in the past, though we've been guests. Interviewing is a learned skill. It's hard. It requires research, empathy, passive listening, focused attention, and a host of other specialized skills to pull off. It's also one of the most challenging and rewarding things I've ever done. Not really in the marketing sense that Gary V was talking about (though hundreds of thousands of folks have listened to our episodes) but in the connections, conversations, and relationships that it has helped me to create. If you're curious, and I hope you are, please [click here to check it out](. The podcast is also available on [spotify](=) and [iTunes](), as well as this rss feed. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
