LABS next week IEA E-Newsletter March 2023 [View in your browser]( [DONATE]( [VOLUNTEER]( [CONTACT US]( It has been a rainy Spring here in Pasadena, CA and we're looking forward to blue skies and lots of fun this summer offsite at our two Yunasa Summer Camps and onsite at our Learning Center during our summer Academy sessions. Scroll down for info on what we have coming up in the weeks and months ahead. YUNASA SUMMER CAMPS Ever wanted to stargaze with friends? Use a bow and arrow? Canoe across a lake? Challenge yourself on a ropes course? Relax with yoga? Hang out around a campfire? Come to camp with us at our gifted youth summer camps in Colorado (June) and Michigan (July). The application deadline has been extended to April 3. Yunasa embraces gifted children for who they are, helping them understand and work with the unique joys and challenges that gifted children face. Financial Aid is available. ASK: Gently used or new stuffed animals. We give all campers a "Yunasa Buddy" stuffed animal on their first night to help ease homesickness and provide comfort. Marengo Ave. Pasadena, CA 91101 . This talk will provide knowledge on the sensory systems, how we can regulate ourselves and co-regulate with our children, and tools which can support this process. Dr. Lim will share Human Developmental Perspectives on nurturing complex outliers toward resiliency, well-being, and flourishing through our life journeys. Learn about the complexities of gifted outliers and the components of the NEST! Trifecta. Leave the presentation with practical strategies. About the Speaker Lin Lim is the Dean of Students and Communications at Bridges Graduate School with a doctorate in human development psychology. Her current interests include interdisciplinary embodied complex dynamic systems thinking and applications around positive parenting, education, workplace, and human development. She also serves on several non-profit gifted-related boards including GHF, Quark Collaboration Institute, and Gifted Education Family Network, and is the current president of SENG.
