In this new newsletter you’ll get one actionable business idea & learn marketing tactics to build your own ecommerce store. Let’s get cracking with this week’s idea and steps to generate revenue! 👀 What we've seen Meta released their Twitter competitor, Threads earlier this month. It is officially the fastest growing app ever with over 100 million users signing up within the first week. They describe the app as a ‘new, separate space for real time updates and public conversations’. General sentiment on the app is extremely positive. The platform seems to be far less confrontational & polarising than its competitor, which has been well received by users. Simultaneously, Elon Musk’s product decisions on Twitter have caused people to question whether they want to still be active on the platform. As Threads was being launched, Twitter began limiting the number of Tweets people could view per day & now Musk is looking to rebrand Twitter into [x.com](, the ‘everything app’. Searches for the term ‘Delete twitter account’ saw a massive surge of 292% in the first first week of July & it looks like more and more users are switching to Threads as their primary text based social media. ℹ️ Why this matters As Threads continue to grow, there is a massive opportunity for early adopters to build a following & monetise their audience. When Vine, TikTok & even Twitter first launched we’ve seen tens of thousands of creators become extremely wealthy. People like the Paul brothers, the D'Amelio family & even brands like Gymshark & Spikeball all credit their success due to being early enough on a platform to take advantage of the algorithm. Whether you are a new or existing brand, there is huge value in being active on Threads & riding the wave. Currently, the content on Threads is extremely poor. Creators who had large followings on Instagram by posting images & videos have suddenly needed to post text based content to maintain an audience on Threads. This pivot has been extremely difficult and led to an opportunity for new accounts who can better adapt. 💡The idea Grow an audience on Threads, focussing on a specific niche to later monetise. If you already have a business in the fashion industry for example, you will use your account to be a thought leader in the space. If you don’t have a business, then you will need to choose a specific niche that you are passionate about. Now obviously growing an account is easier said than done, but I believe the steps below are the easiest way to continually create viral content on the platform. 👣 Steps to execute Estimated time to revenue: 3-6 months - Choose a niche that you want your account to based on. - Go to short format video platforms like TikTok, Reels & Shorts and find videos and accounts that are popular in that particular niche - Download these videos & upload them to a tool like [Veed.io]( to get the transcriptions for these videos - Take the transcriptions and plug them into ChatGPT. Ask it to reword it and transform it into a Threads/Twitter format - Post these threads daily onto your Threads account and establish yourself as a leader in your niche. - Experiment with different ways of posting. I.e. carousel image posts, text posts etc. to see which resonates with your audience more - Continually engage with other creators in your space, foster relationships & be selfless with praise. 🌱 Grow For those of you who have an existing store here are some resources which I think would be beneficial. - Learning how to find trending sounds on TikTok is one of the best ways to grow your account quickly.
